[WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE AHEAD]
Mira Ivanovna Volkova wasn’t your standard military personnel, she had a whole celebrity life on top of that. Her brother, Vladimir, was known as a local heartthrob; that didn’t help with the popularity of the others, afraid the other siblings would be the same way.306Please respect copyright.PENANA227POqCe9q
She brought herself back to reality when the sound of the bartender plopping her drink down echoed throughout the room.
She blinked a couple of times, and dipped her head in thanks. The Commander sat besides her younger sister Lilith, who was currently busy getting drunk. ‘As if that’d solve her problems,’ Mira thought.
Mira had a reputation for being fierce, but she’d freely admit one person drew down her guard. She knew today would be no exception.
Mira wore the standard Sol Defence Corps uniform instead of her midnight black trench coat, which she dearly missed. Her hair has only just been cut down from shoulder length to the top of her head in a tuft of light blonde colour. Baby blue eyes glanced carelessly about, failing to catch the glance of the beautiful woman she had chosen to be with tonight. A collection of scars decorated her cheek in a pattern, and the older woman waited.
She couldn’t pass the time, no matter how hard she tried. She took the odd sip of coffee, which was in front of her. She even pulled out the paperwork on her personal digital assistant, doing it at the bar until…
”What ye doing, sissy?”
Fucking drunk Lilith.
Mira furrowed her brows. ”None of your business, sister. Continue hooking up with that hot chick of yours, you might even lose your virginity.”
”Lost that a long time ago, moron. Ye wanna fight?” She raised her fist and stood up, absolutely reeking of alcohol. Mira just grunted in disgust, now choosing to ignore Lilith. But she wouldn’t stop talking.
”In the nicest possible way, fuck off until you’re sober.” Lilith just growled at Mira, turning to face her one night stand. She motioned both herself and the woman - later known as Karol - outside.
Loud music blasted over the top of people dancing and having a good time, but Mira wasn’t in any mood for that. She felt kind of sorry for her special someone, waiting endlessly to see when she’d show up.
Then the door slammed open wide, and a dozen or so heads turned. Hot red lips, a beautiful black dress and some fancy leather heels; Mira was practically melting.
The woman stood up to greet Eilleen, a big, busty brunette, her hair done in a beautiful side-parting. Beer coloured eyes complimented everything about her, as she approached Mira, glass at hand.
Mira, like the gentlelady she was, guided Eilleen to a free, reserved table. She took off Eilleen’s bags for her, plopping them in a luggage trolley just behind the table. “Mira, you really don’t need to do all that every single time.”
“Only for you, moya lyubov.” Mira was actually grateful for once that Lilith taught her that phrase. Eilleen felt flattered.
Mira now finally took a seat. What happened next truly shocked her.
”Mira, are you still single?” A simple question that seemed innocent. Mira answered with ease.
”As ever.” She didn’t think to question why Eilleen asked, but soon it would be made obvious.
Mira started their conversation. “How are you, moya lyubov?”
Eilleen giggled, flushed by the nickname Mira had chosen. Her face heated up ever so slightly. “I’m better with you, how’d I go without your words.”
Mira, who became silly rather than blushing, nodded. A small smile crept up her face as she looked over the tanned woman. Mira reached over to take Eilleen’s hand, which said woman accepted. “What if I hurt someone, like I did in the past?”
A constant threat in Mira’s mind, afraid of what they’d think of her if she told them. Then again, it was either that or…
”Don’t worry, you always have a way of sneaking into people’s hearts.” A coy smile overtook Eilleen’s face, as she puckered her lips and pressed them against Mira’s, whom took a few seconds to process before kissing back.
Mira’s gay panic almost got the better of her, seeing the visible blush on Eilleen’s face and being unsure what to do.
If there was one thing for certain though, Mira just had her first ever kiss. She couldn’t resist Eilleen’s smooth-as-chocolate lips, nor the taste of her chapstick and what it felt like. It was far better than she could even conceive, a thousand fireworks going off in her head.
She asked her out on the same day.
