Fox stumbled home. The forever building snowstorm wasn't in his favour tonight. Fox spit out the snow and ice that wriggled into his frozen mouth. Pulling his fur hat down lower, Fox bent down to reduce friction against the storm. Nothing could possibly cheer him up on this dreadfully cold evening.
Fox tripped on a piece of log, and fell face-flat into the snow.
"Fox? Is that you?"
When I said nothing could cheer Fox up, I didn't know that Lara would be turning up.
"Yeah... It's me... Fox..."
Lara helped Fox up, "Whatever are you doing out in the cold on this dreadful evening?"
"I could ask you the same thing,"
"Then ask away,"
Fox put on his best (more like his worst) high-pitched girl voice and said, "Whatever are you doing out in the cold on this dreadful evening?"
"I do not sound like that!" Lara punched Fox.
They started walking home slower than ever. Now that Lara was here, Fox wanted to spend as much time as he could with her. Before she left.
"So what are you doing here?"
"I had to go back to get Sneffels," Fox muttered with slight embarrassment.
"Who's Sneffels?"
"My sister's favourite toy,"
"Aww that's cute,"
"It is?" Fox jerked his head up in surprise.
"Yes. You risked your life in the snow storm to get your sister's Sneffels,"
"I guess it is..." Fox smirked. He liked talking to Lara.
They continued walking through the impenetrable snow. Lara shuddered, she didn't have a very thick coat. Fox decided to help her. Besides, they were nearly home. Fox took his thick fur coat off and put it on Lara.
"No, you need the coat-"
"Shh, I'm nearly home, it's fine,"
Fox was cold but he decided to try and forget about it. He should treasure the moment while it lasted.
Merry Christmas!
