Yes, she was searching

But for what, you may ask

For whom?

Flying around on the wings of a bat

Ineffective

Inefficient

Tiny

Pondering the way the stars move

How the moon shifts under the weight of gravity

The trees pulsing

Alive and alone, together

Searching for what, even whom is incorrect

Searching for the what

For what does it matter?

The why, that's what's important

Whom is nowhere near as

The why controls us

Searching

With eyes closed

Arms open wide

Flying

Diving, head first, heart first

Into the void of now

Why? She searches

To no avail, I might add

On the wings of a dragon

Soaring above the whirring clouds

Puffy and pleasant, with no why to find

Grand and monstrous, destructive

The dragon flies

She too, large and unpleasant, searching

Frustrated

Cold

The why

Why

Why?

The ants march in unison

The flowers bloom and at once

A cosmic explosion emerges

Far beyond our reach

She searches for the why

Might I add?

To no avail
