A stranger in a strange land was walking down a dirt road. Suddenly he saw that it forks in two directions. The roads were covered in large Pine trees. In the middle of each road, there was a man and a woman. They were both beautiful to him. In the middle of the fork was a sign that read, “Each choice has missed opportunities. Choose wisely.”
The Stranger looked at the Man and the Woman, then did something that the Gods didn’t even plan.
He went through the middle.

After what seemed like days, the end of the forest drew nearer. He saw a road. How odd. Yet he kept going forward.
He finally got to the road and saw the Man. Happiness shrouded him as he walked to the Man. He embraced him for a few seconds, then took his hand.
Hand in hand, they walked. Although the road in front of them seemed rough. The Man knew they would persevere. The Man knew already that he made the right choice and found his One. He just hoped the Stranger felt the same.
The Stranger looked at the man as if he’d seen him before. The Stranger then gets to thinking.
Aha! I have seen him! On the road a few days before!
As he thinks this, his face doesn’t show his happiness. Instead, it shows pain.
The Man looked at the Stranger and asked, “Are you alright? Your emotions seem to be opposite. I hope that in time, you’ll be able to show them in the right order.”
The Stranger said in a weak voice, “A-are you sure? Most run when I show them.”
The Man replied, “I am sure; confident that my love for you will remain, even if I show them.” For the Man, before this meeting, he had gone through so much. He felt as if he was fighting for the Stranger for longer than he actually had. He had not desired for the Stranger to reveal his emotions, but it was only a wish.
Suddenly the Stranger stopped on the road, turned towards the man and kissed him. His eyes went wide, and he looked down, ashamed at what he had just done.
The Man lifted his head up and asked, “Why do you gloom like earlier? Are your emotions still the opposite?”
The Stranger said nothing, just looked at the dirt in the road, thinking.
The Man grabbed the Stranger’s arms and asked the same questions, assuring him that his heart will remain, no matter what he says.
The Stranger’s voice was weak again as he replied to the Man, “I just did it without asking, I was just so happy that I didn’t take the time to ask. I just went. I’m sorry if you find that bad.”
The Man said, “It is not bad, but let me ask you a few questions. Are you happy when you’re with me? Was the road with me the right choice? Are you willing to love me when I may struggle since you asked? If yes, to any of those, then I will forgive you with all my heart, no matter how hard it is for me. Because when the Sun God goes to sleep, it is him saying, everyone must move on.”
“Yes, I’m happy with you. Though it was not your road I followed. I, in fact, followed no road. I went through the middle of the Forest. And yes, I am willing to love you,” the Stranger replied.
“You chose no road, yet I still found you on mine. I choose to accept it, even with the interesting circumstances; and although I may struggle down the road, I choose to forgive the past. I only ask that, next time, you remember me in your heart; just a man who felt both love and pain for a stranger who chose no roads, but the ones he seeks.”
After that, the Man asked, “Is your love for me true?”
The Stranger looks at the Man and tells him, “Yes. It is. Though it seems we’ve just met yet have met before. I love you. With all my heart.”

While walking down the road, the Stranger looked down and walked faster.
The Man caught up to the Stranger and asked, “Why do you walk so fast? Is it me?”
The Stranger replies, “No. It is not you. It is because I wish to think.”
“To think about what?”
“Me. Us. This world we call home. The love we all share.”
The man is taken aback by this statement. He wished for the Stranger to talk to him about such things. For the Man enjoyed communication between them. He asked one question.
“How much does your love stretch for me?”
The Stranger stopped walking and looked down the road. What he saw was an empty dirt road, ready to be explored. He looked back and saw all the trials, twists, and turns they took.
He replied, “I will love you through the seasons. Through all the curves, valleys, and mountains we’ve crossed. No matter the circumstance. I will stay with you. Even in death.”
The Man smiled the widest smile he’s ever had since now. He couldn’t believe it, someone who was willing to be with him even through hell. He took the Stranger’s hand, and they walked an even longer road, one that they didn’t know where it led.
