"Masuma Qureshi, please come down to the main office. Masuma Qureshi," the loudspeaker ordered.
Masuma got up awkwardly. Everyone was looking at her. She walked out.
HA and I were pretty darn sure she was not in trouble, but it was still fun to whisper to each other about why. We were no where near close.
Masuma came back in with a huge bag of candy. I was shocked. We were not even allowed to give candy away on Valentine's Day. It contained lollipops and SMARTIES! I LOVE smarties. Masuma gave both HA and I candy. I nibbled on one roll of smarties and made it last for five minutes. I turned to ask for another one but Masuma pointed to HA's desk. Inside were all the smartie wrappers. He was shoving the last one in his mouth. I was horrified.
"You ate all the smarties?" I hissed.
"What? They make me smart," HA replied.
I smiled and shook my head. He was adorable.
