Today Karter asked me to drive around with him. Since the night he kinda saved me he's been right next to me. Xavier loved him, they played games together, he even helped him with his homework. Hanging out with Carter was better then I expected. It was so easy to be around him. Talking to him was therapeutic, he didn't judge me he didn't talk down to me he listened, the only thing I didn't like was he never talked about himself. I knew nothing about him yet I was curious about him. He was a fine ass man, he was tall as fuck, had huge muscles but he was gentle as fuck when it came to me.
"Your quiet today something wrong mama." Karter asked.
"No just enjoying the ride." I said.
"Nugget, I know you are lying what wrong." He asked helping me out his truck. He pressed his body close to mine. I swear I felt like I couldn't breathe. "Talk to me."
"Its nothing I swear." I smiled.
"Okay, this conversation isn't over." He said holding my hand. We entered this house and there say a woman. She was probably the prettiest woman I ever seen. She was in a wheel chair but when she saw me she smiled.
"You must be Moon. I'm Katie, Bully's sister." She said.
"Hi." I said shyly.
"Come sit, eat with us and tell me how you met his mean ass." Katie said.
"I run a center for abused kids. I had a met gala for the kids. Your brother was a donor." I said.
"You alway go after your donors?" She asked. I looked at her and her eyebrows were raised and something was off with her question.
"Okay let me get this straight right here. Your brother is cool, I enjoy his company but his money i don't need it. I have money, and its not like your brother gives up information any fuckin way. This was nice but I'm not about to be interrogated because you are judging me." I snapped. I went to leave but Karter stopped me.
"Nugget she ain't mean it like that." Karter said.
"Moon, I'm sorry if I offended you. My brother has never brought a woman here. So please sit, I want to get to know you." She said. I looked at Karter and he was pleading with me with his eyes. I nodded and sat down.
