Alan wakes up to a pungent smell of disinfectant. His vision is blurry so he rubs his eyes to clear his vision. After rubbing his eyes, he glances around and finds himself in an empty blue colored room. There is only a bed and a clock in the room. The room is so silent that Alan can easily hear clock’s ticking. His eyes focuses on the clock which is showing the time 3:00 but he doesn’t know if it is day or night. He asks himself, “Where am I? He gets out of bed, wears slippers and hobbles toward the door. He tries to turn the knob but the door is locked from outside. Alan starts getting anxious and starts knocking the door but there’s no response, only thing he can hear is his breath and clock’s ticking. After some failed attempts, Alan starts banging the door but again there’s no response. He screams, “Help! Let me out of here”, but again there’s no response. Alan again tries to remember what could have happened only when he hears some footsteps approaching. He gets furious.
Someone from outside puts a key in the door and opens the door. Alan hides behind the bed. A man with white paint on his face enters the room. Alan is scared of what is happening and starts shouting, “Who are you? Why am I locked in this room? What do you want?”
Man says, “ Don’t be afraid of me. I’m here to help you.”
“Why would I need your help?”, Alan says in cracking voice.
“You’ve got no idea what happened, do you?”
“I don’t care what happened or not. I do know that you kidnapped me and have locked me in this room.”
Man starts walking slowly towards Alan, “No. I didn’t kidnap you. I saved your life. If I wouldn’t be there, you would have been dead. I spent all these days taking care of you. I brought you here to save you from the worst.”
Alan stands up and moves away from man, “If you are such a good person, why am I locked in this room?”
“I have more work to do and didn’t want you wandering off. So, I had to lock you in this room. It is safe here.”
“You really think I’m stupid enough to fall for this? I want out of here.”, Alan raises his voice.
Man also raises his voice, “You can’t leave. The entire countryside is blanketed with poisonous chemical which was result of nuclear explosion which took place some days ago. If you go outside, you will die. This place should protect us from whatever is floating in the air out there….”
Alan interrupts, “You’re out of your mind. You are lying.”
Man starts shouting, “If you think I am lying, go outside. You will die in some minutes after exposure. Here, whole world population is dead due and instead of thanking me you are shouting at me”
Alan interrupts, “But you came from outside. How are you alive then?”.
“I have a suit along with gloves and helmet which protects me from the radiation.”
“And what is this white paint on your face?”
“Oh this? I used to work at circus as joker and I didn't get time to wash all this” Man smiles.
Alan rages out in anger, “You are fucking liar. Don’t try to make me fool...
Man interrupts Alan and shouts, “Shut up. You don’t tell me anything. I am saving you here. You should worship me. I am your saving guardian.”
“Shut up!,” Alan starts running towards the door. Man grabs Alan and throws him towards the bed.
“You will not go outside this room", Man kicks Alan in stomach and Alan screams in pain. Man starts walking towards the door. Alan stands in pain and starts moving towards the door. Man grabs Alan from neck and bangs his head on wall and thrashes him on the floor.
While Alan is lying on floor screaming in pain, man closes the door and locks it again from outside. Alan crawls in pain towards the door and starts banging the door. He screams, “Help! Let me out of here. Open the door. Help!”. Alan keeps banging the door and his vision starts getting blurry. He falls unconscious on the floor due to the injury he got.
Alan wakes up in a hospital room with a nurse sitting beside him. Alan speaks softly, “Where am I?”.
“Don’t worry. You are in hospital.”
“How did I get here?”, Alan starts panicking.
A policeman enters the room, “Don’t worry, you are safe now. You had suffered some injuries so we brought you here. Don’t worry you will be discharged soon.”
“What is happening sir?"
“Don’t worry. You were locked inside a room. We got the information from the neighbour that they heard someone screaming and banging the door. We reached there as we got the information and found you”, Policeman sits beside Alan. “Tell me what happened in that room”, Policeman looks towards Alan.
Alan tells all the story how he woke up in the room, how someone came in the room with some story and how he got injured. Policeman notes the points in his notepad.
“Alan! Listen carefully. Whatever story he told you was all made-up. Nothing such thing happened. You were kidnapped and were missing from last 5 days. The person who kidnapped you is psychic criminal, Tom Hoyden. He is mental patient and a criminal. Your parents filed missing report complaint after you didn’t return home after 2 days. We started the search but were unable to find you. When we got information from Tom’s neighbor, I got intuition that it might be you and it was you……
Alan interrupts, “Now, I am recollecting what happened. Last time I remember I was coming back from school but after that I woke up in that room."
Policeman continues, “Good to know that you are remembering. Your parents are waiting for you outside. And yes, after getting discharged you need to come to police station to help us in providing all the important information which will help us in catching this criminal.”
“You didn’t catch him?”, Alan asks in amazement.
“No. When we reached there he wasn’t present there”, Policeman stands.
“Thank you sir, you saved my life. I will definitely help you in finding him.”
“Alan, it was nice meeting you. Wishing you bright future,” Policeman leaves the room. Alan’s parents enter the room and hug him.

While, somewhere else,
A man is following a boy who is coming back from school and walking alone towards his home. The man following him grabs a stone, runs and strike the boy from behind. The boy fells unconscious. The man puts him in his car and takes him to a building. He pulls the boy out of the car and drags him into the building. Inside the building, he drags the boy, puts drip needle and locks him inside the room.
