Chapter 6: Controlling and Utilising Mineral Qi
“Little Zar, if you are reading the final part of this book, I am to assume you have finished cultivating and consolidating Mineral Qi, good job. I am sure this must have been extremely difficult. Now, you are more than likely as weak as a starved cat, soon, not only will you be as strong as a fully grown man, you will also become greater in many, many ways.
Mineral Qi fills the cells with vital-life force, this causes operations in the cell such as healing and repair to increase in speed. For cells to operate, they need life-force and intelligence, Mineral Qi supplies the life-force, and the cells intelligences uses this life-force to maintain itself. Old scars and bruises will repair, your hormones will begin regulating correctly again, you will gain weight eating less food and the temperament of your body will greatly increase, causing you to become far stronger than your peers as your muscles regrow and not only that, operate at a higher metabolic rate.
Mineral Qi is not advanced enough to allow cells to operate beyond their chemical limit little Zar, instead, all chemical activities of the cell become rapidly accelerated is all. You will not need to eat nearly as much for the body will easily recycle the nutrition you give it, you will not need to drink as much for the body will easily remove toxins without much difficulty. But, regardless of this, you will still be a mortal, subject to the normal aspects of life.
Right now, you have built 3 days' worth of Mineral Qi, this is the equivalent of a cup of water. This book is running out of pages, I must be concise... When you run out of Mineral Qi you must rebuild it via the described method, soon you will learn more ways to replenish your Mineral Qi reserves. 3 days worth of Mineral Qi, the equivalent of a cup of water, will last for a month or two with correct use before you will begin to notice a need to recultivate. Your cells will become used to a constant supply of high-quality life-force so when they begin to feel deprived, you will instantly know.
A lone cultivator with no responsibilities can extend the lifetime of a cup of Mineral Qi to upwards of 5 months, but you have responsibilities little Zar, you must share your Mineral Qi by emitting it into other people's cells. You may attempt now to cultivate Mineral Qi more regularly so you never run out, but be careful, do not overflood your lower Dantain, its storage capacity is surprisingly immense, but in a sense, it must be stretched out like an inflexible muscle, do not rush such a delicate process lest you burst your Dantain and cripple your own cultivation.
If you understand this, then I recommend replenishing your Mineral Qi once per month before the Sun and use your intuition to figure out ways to automatically replenish Mineral Qi without added effort.
Now Little Zar, you already know that to release Mineral Qi, you must defocus and unravel the seal you have created due to your intense concentration. This seal you have created is called a Focal Array; Focal Arrays are created due to extremely intense concentration with a very precise context. In your case, the context was to lock the Mineral Qi in the Dantain and the intense concentration caused this seal to solidify. This is why you no longer need to focus, if you still need to focus then you should not be reading this lesson little one.”
“Why must he call me little all the time... It is as though he thinks he is an ancient being.”
“Aside from your remarks, i will continue,” the text went on.
“Crafty Oldman thinks he knows what I am thinking beyond the grave.” Zar thought to himself.
“You must learn to control the Focal Array you have created, learn to release an extremely, extremely small percentage of Mineral Qi into the body, less than 1%, this will supply all your cells with more than enough life-force to significantly increase your overall health in the ways I described. It will take you some time to master this, but after some many days you will get the hang of it. When you have mastered it, come back to this Oldman's book and I will teach you how to emit Mineral Qi into organisms.”
Zar closing the book wasted no time learning how to release minimal quantities of Qi from the solidified seal or the Focal Array. “So, if i just slightly withdraw the locked Qi from my lower Dant- ARGH TO MUCH, my meridians are overflowing, if that reached my cells I would have sustained damage. Much less Qi therefore! Significantly less than this.”
Zar focused all morning, afternoon and evening on the sole task. “Ahh, what is this feeling? I managed to release what feels like an infinitesimal amount of Mineral Qi through my meridians, I quickly locked the Mineral Qi up again allowing the remaining Qi in the meridians to flow freely, now I feel a deep state of relaxation, sleepy. I feel so sleepy. I need to go to sleep.” Zar lost consciousness.
“Oh my.” Said one of the sisters passing by Zar, “he’s the definition of dead asleep. What incredible warmth, I feel like I am beneath, or in truth, above the sun. My, Grand Elder Zar sure looks quite good, did he always look like this? If only I wasn’t so weak and frail, I might have the chance to wed with him. Guess I will leave him be, he smells a little funny but also fragrant, strange, so strange. What has he been doing these past weeks? This warmth cannot simply be due to the passing sun.”
Zar awoke, it was the middle of the afternoon of Monday. “Damn, I've been asleep for – oh never mind, I do not have to cultivate today. I should get up...” Zar began to rise from his feet. “That was easier than usual!” Zar began jogging on his feet. “I feel so light, as a feather, as though my muscles have repaired or something.” He looked at his legs. “My gosh, they are not simply skin and bone, I actually look a little toned. I must go to a lake to have a look at myself because this feels incredible! Such a small amount of Mineral Qi had this drastic effect!”
Zar ran to a local lake shocking his Brothers and Sisters who couldn’t even walk properly they were so weak, it was the final week of grains for they were running out, the entire village was relying on the potato harvest which was still growing and was far from finished. To see Zar running was a miracle.
“What was Grand Elder doing to attain such vitality!” Wondered one of the villagers seeing Zar pounce over the petty field toward a near lake.
“No idea, no idea...”
Zar reaching the lake, which was giving a nice reflective quality, begun to observe his appearance. Indeed, his face was somewhat toned rather than simply being skin and bone, his arms had a tonality to them, his entire body was a little toned. His muscles over the course of his sleep had repaired and grown significantly.
“I can think so clearly as well!” Zar noticed as he looked at the trees, which had a slight glow to them, as though the colour had finally returned. “To feel this alive, I must gift this to my Giath Village for I am a member of the Grand Elders. Hah, that’s a funny memory... MY MEMORY! Yes, I remember so much! So many positive and negative things of our past. I must do something; it cannot only be me who enjoys these benefits. No more dizziness from getting up, no more weakness from merely walking one place to another, the ability to think, imagine and visualise easily, yes. I will sit by this lake for now and continue learning how to filter Mineral Qi into my meridians slowly, when I master this, I will continue reading Oldman’s writing, there is hardly any left...” Zar found this to be saddening.
Time passed, Zar practiced every day, and when he was not practicing, he was doing seemingly miraculous acts which was extremely surprising to the Grands and Greaters.
5 days later.
“My, my Brother Zar, I have no idea what was in that book left from the old-man *cough* but you have single-handedly turned this village around. The holes in me and sisters shack have been mended, a lot of the pollutive elements have been removed, the watermill is flowing again. I cannot believe this; it has brought me to tears that I am too weak to cry!” Pam said woefully and happily.
“I promise you Dear Sister, I will solve that illness for you soon.”
“No, no don’t make promises you cannot keep Brother Zar...,” cried Pam.
“This is my promise! I keep my promises always!” Zar said with determination, leaving Pam and Lams shack with vigour. “It’s time to continue learning, I must comprehend Mineral Qi transmission to heal the villagers, and I must learn whatever comes next.”
Zar sat on his rock and begun reading, no one troubled him, he had helped just about everyone with his new-found vitality.
