I created Lace to be a close-in-age friend to Wile.
I guess I didn't mention it in the last one, but in Wile's world of Elthiun, the magic system is called Kýklosia (Kih-kloh-slee-ah) and all magic requires a base in something taken from the earth, like rare elements, minerals, or plants.
So in other words, drugs are going to be a big part of it. As opposed to people using magic, it's going to be enhanced people, potions, magic weapons, and the like
