My friend @itsAmelia got me to join this website today after I started to read her blog, but I don't write stories as she does so this will be more of a blog thing because I like the idea of getting to vent and not being judged cruelly for it? Either way, Welcome to the magnificently, strange? world of a sophomore in high school!

Preview short story

Inspired by catcher in the rye and other books.

Jared has been kicked out of another school in a seemingly countless row and his new one doesn't seem any better than all the others he's been to. But probably due to an unexpectedly good mood in the first few days and weeks, he makes friends, falls in love with the girl that looks too perfect to be made up, and he feels like this may be the first time he really cares about anything. But soon they all start getting in trouble when he pulls them down into his dark-ish world of reckless pleasure seeking, borderline criminality and self-destructive behaviour.

He's going places he's never thought of before and slipping further into a lifestyle that will kill him, threatening to be expelled again but this time is the first time he has motivation not to. So he's facing a decision that's the hardest he's ever had to make.

Finding friends and unlikely allies along the way, can Flint become as strong as his destiny says he will be? All whilst discovering who he was?
