A disease, known as Hanahaki, has swept through its origins in Japan and spread into the world.

Everyone is infected and waiting for the flowers to bloom. To keep them in check, pills are taken on entry into businesses and bands are worn to display the progress of the disease.

Ali is a Cafe worker. Her time is almost up. To try and survive in a world where money is still king, she puts work and her strange coworkers before her own failing health.
