Why Join?

For this writing contest there will not be a specific theme. The minimum words count is going to be 300 and the max will be 1500. After the contest is complete I will announce 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place a couple of days later.

Write a poem in response to something. It could be a song, a speech, a book, another poem... anything that someone has thought and verbalized you can respond to in poem. The more moving and compelling it is the more of a chance you have in winning.
