A twisted love, deads done for the sake of love. This contest aims to challenge you to dig deep into your mind, to think about twisted acts that one could commit for love... Or obsession. You can either write from the love interests point of view, twisted lovers point of view or in the third person. If you are doing the love interests point of view try and dig deep into yourself, what emotions you'd feel. The twisted lover, stalker, obsessor whatever you'd like to call them, you are trying to get into that mindset of what justification they have for doing such a thing and saying its in the name of love whether that's murder, manipulation or downright kidnapping. Let your mind wander to the deepest parts of your mind.

I will be reading all the entries, they can be from 100 or to 3000 words although I recommend using around 5 to 1000 words to get the point across so I can better understand the story you've written.

I think I'm going to start doing these. I will show a picture that I have and the task is to write a story around it. I saw this on the side of a trail in the city while riding my bike.

The genre can be whatever you want. Mystery, thriller, horror, fantasy, supernatural, etc. based on the image. Give it back story, perhaps. Be creative and have fun!

Though the inside it is nice and cozy, the wind is strong and the snow is quite heavy. Your character is at a funeral. This contest does not have any requirements or much of anything really, just the idea of someone at a funeral. It could be there's, could be a friends of theirs, a complete stranger, a pets or anyones. This is The First Sentence Challenge! How this works is I give you all the first sentence, which you must use as the first sentence in your entries. It is then up to you to write whatever you want. Whether it is a spooky story, a love story, anything! This contest will be open for entries for three weeks and only one entry per writer is accepted! I will be the sole judge for this contest, here is what I'm looking for:

- Characters that are relatable

- Story-lines that are creative

- Good plot twists that I personally wouldn't have seen coming

- Good use of correct spelling and grammar

RULES:

Entries must be written in English!

No gore, violence or erotica accepted!

Swearing must be kept to a minimum!
