What is a story?

A story is a breath of air
The words pulling you back from despair
A story is a lover's kiss
An embrace, a safe haven, a burning wish

A story is the friend you need
For when no one seems to hear you grieve
A story is the bounded wonder that is always there
Filling you with poetry in exchange for your cares

A story is the words you write
Your creation, the weaving of new life
A story is a limitless paradise
A madman's cell or a beautiful hell

A story is the pen in your hand
The willing slave awaiting your commands
A story is the woe in your life
Your laughter, your joy, the dreams giving you flight

But most of all...
A story is a gift meant to be shared
So treat it gently, and always wrap with the upmost care...
