Wow, it’s been a hot second since I’ve updated this blog. Credit that to my terrible sense of time. But I really didn’t mean to wait that long. It’s just been kind of rough lately and I also have a crap ton of homework and studying to do. And, what I’ve found is hardest about writing a blog is not the actual writing but the content. Which I believe I’ve mentioned here before. Because what normal person has enough interesting things going on in their life to write about it that often?
But anyway, yeah, I didn’t really have anything to say anyway, but I kinda felt bad for not updating in so long. I don’t even know why, but alas. Although I guess I could mention the novel I’ve been planning.
I’ve been in the planning stage for several months now (it’s a grueling process), but I’m super excited to start writing eventually. Currently the series is called Children of Wrath but I very well might change that in the future. The main character’s name is Alabaster and honestly the more I develop him the more I love him—he’s just an apathetic ball of vengeance and determination trying to avenge his father’s death. He reminds me very much of Patrick Jane from The Mentalist, in that he’s so determined to find his dad’s murderer while also not regretting anything he has to do to achieve his goal. Guess it makes sense that I love him since Jane is one of my all-time favorite characters.
Aside from novel planning, though, I do have some pretty exciting yet intimidating stuff happening in my personal life right now. I’ve been dying to tell anyone about it but I have to keep it a secret, which is annoying. Although it would probably be fine to talk about it on here—because who would even know?—I’m committing to keeping a closed mouth (even if it’s killing me inside).
