Four vehicles were making their way to the highway road, passing through the intersections and switching off into different lanes to take the shortcuts. The speed of their cars was almost above average, whilst they loaded their guns with sharp silver bullets. They hid some of their firearms inside their pouches and side jackets, then wore the masks on their faces.
“Alright, everyone. We will have to use the method; divide and conquer. Since there are three teams, the first one has to go to the main ground, whereas the second one goes to the second floor and the last one goes to the third floor to attack and capture them. That way, we will interrogate them and know the information behind Si-woo and the rest of the CEO’s plans,” Jason advised concisely and continued on. “But we have to be very cautious about how we are going to inaugurate our formation. We can’t lose sight of who we are targeting specifically. If one of us is down, we have to keep moving while someone else rushes to aid and we cannot leave each other behind.”
“How long do we have to fight?” Julong asked.
“Yeah, I was thinking that as well,” Max muttered.
“It depends because it can last long,” Jason responded.
“I don’t mind,” Luke uttered monotonously.
“Same. I’m getting hyped up about this. The last time I dealt with rugged mofos was near the dark cat alleyway,” Woonjae said.
“How did you win?” Moonki became curious.
“I used a baseball bat,” he replied.
“So it’s your weapon?”
“All the time,” Woonjae smirked coolly.
“As for me, I had to cut off the bad guys’ legs or remove their ball sacks with a katana sword,” Yuki responded brightly.
“Very informative to know that,” Julong widened his eyes in shock and awkwardness.
“Now I know who I need to stay away from,” Moonki mumbled nervously beside him.
“Oh, come on, guys! I’m not going to do anything harmful or something crazy. I’m just saying about my experiences,” Yuki said lightly with a shrug.
“That’s good, though. That way, those guys will not stand a chance against us with you and Valerie’s physical combat,” Byung-seok noted.
“Hmm,” Valerie nodded calmly and was a little hesitant. Of course, she still has some doubts about her own capabilities.
“Do you guys have an extra pouch?” Moonki asked.
“It’s in the back of the trunk,” Julong replied.
“I have one here if you need one.” Yuki gestured.
“Oh, thanks,” Moonki said with a nod.
“By the way, where is Henry and Sunghoon?” Max wondered.
“They’re with Eugene and Woonjae,” Jason replied as he turned on the voice group chat on speaker. “Can you all hear me?”
”Yeah,” Beom answered.
“Ahh…” he said.
“Prepare your weapons,” Jason stated pensively as they did what they were told. “Whatever happens, we will go as planned and do your best because this isn’t a game. This is a matter of life and death.”
“Yes, sir!” The teams replied strongly in unison as they loaded their weapons in their hands.
…
The dawn broke into the clouds and the black-armored men bustled right out of their combat vehicles and tanks with sub machine guns, anti aircrafts, assault rifles, and improvised explosive devices. They gestured their arms, signaling to make haste and set themselves in their formations.
A man wearing a black suit in his 30s stepped his foot outside his own BMW Z4 car. His hair was slicked back from side to side with an intimidating smirk and a boastful look in his eyes. He slightly scoffed at the sight of the tall Sequoia trees, now that they were in the Abandoned Forest.
“Gentlemen, remember what you were trained for. This is not something to slack off. This is the moment that you will agress…!”
“Sir, yes, sir!”
“To aim is to kill…” the man stated with a deep and serious tone of voice and sharpened his baleful gaze.
The tanks adjusted their turrets, directing their muzzles to the center.
As for the squad, they also keep daggers and bayonets in their pockets as well as their crossbows straps attached to their backs. They parked the vans on top of the hillside, where a few rocky boulders and bushes are covering them, so that no one is able to see.
Jason and the other squad members stood still, whereas the rest of them went out of their vehicles. “I know how scary this sounds, but you all have to be very careful. Are you with me?”
“Hmm,” they nodded in response, then scurried all the way down to the bottom and went further beneath the trees.
Team 3 continued running to the base as Team 2 were jogging all the way, but they all had to stop for a second to see the emergency staircase from afar.
Lastly, Team 1 went to the other side and sneaked through the crooked doorways. They were subtle with their footsteps and headed towards the elevator.
Yuki tapped Valerie’s arm lightly and whispered. “We should be the one to disarm the bombs.”
“Bombs?” She repeated in puzzlement.
“Yeah, they set the two upstairs to lure a bait on us.”
“We’ll cover each other,” Valerie said.
“You sure? But your condition…” Yuki mumbled with a frown.
“It’s fine, I can handle it… and besides it’s our mission,” she stated as their backs were faced against the wall.
“Three…” The man in the black suit counted slowly as all the henchmen followed along and settled onto their positions.
”Two…”
Their eyes were slightly narrowed at them and raised their armaments up in the air directly to the front.
“One…”
They were all composed and ready.
“Attack!!!!” He shouted fiercely when he saw the squad members dashing to the main floor.
Abruptly, the henchmen were shooting at them with a couple of sharp bullets dropping off strenuously.
“You go on right ahead. I’ll distract these guys’ attention away from our motive,” Yuki reminded gently.
“That’s fine, but just let me know if you need a hand,” Valerie said as she watched her nod in reassurance.
“Of course,” she smiled, then began to gallop and swing the metal spike ball in circular motions, which caused the other guys to stagger back in pain after they all got hit in their chests. She pulled out her katana that sliced up the ankles of their legs, filled with poison.
Two men were about to knock her out, but she was quick enough to notice them and threw a couple of knives swiftly through their necks, causing them to gasp out and lose oxygen.
They all cried out agonizingly and tried to shoot her, but they missed when her legs swung across them and fell in a loud thud after being slashed with blood splattering on the floor.
Max came in with his team and kept shooting at the henchmen as well as they were tangling with each other physically in combat. He pointed out with insistence, saying. “Give everything you got!”
The henchmen then retaliated by using M16, Stealth Recon Scout, and FN F2000 guns that targeted their bodies, but the squad members were covered in bulletproof vests and helmets.
“You got the flamethrower?” Luke asked, ducking his head away from the gunshots. He swung his own dagger against the other guy and shot him three times in the stomach.
“Right here,” Julong said and pressed the button that blasts a stream of flammable liquid, igniting at the exit of the barrel.
Loud screams and shouts were heard as the fire spread across their arms and legs, only lasting for about a minute. They brushed it off, but the henchmen ended up getting pummeled off to their sides.
“Don’t forget to take cover!” Jason instructed as he jumped on the top of the guy’s back and shot at them incessantly. Then, he double kicked them out of the windows with such a ruckus.
The next team had already snuck through the main entry and hid behind the stone pillars and heard a few voices with all of the teetering footsteps.
“Are they there?” Beom breathed.
“Yeah,” Byung-seok whispered.
“Give it a rest or else we will not hesitate to shoot you guys down!” One of the henchmen ordered sternly.
Until then, there was silence filling the whole room and without holding back, a man began to chuckle above them as he was hanging from the top wall of the ceiling gap window. They all knew who it was.
