The Vlive has ten million views, now that BTS is gathered in the living room at their newest entertainment building. It was constructed with newly designed places for numerous activities. They sat on the carpets and continued to finish their meals in their relaxed compostures.
"What is your favorite go-to drink?" Jin read the question on the iPad as he was waiting for them to answer.
"Probably, Matcha Green Latte or Banana milk," Jungkook said.
"For me, it's an Espresso Con Panne," Yoongi thought.
"Oh, yeah! I remember those drinks," Hoseok snapped his fingers in astonishment.
"Mine is usually coffee like the regular one," Namjoon said.
"Strawberry Creme Frappuccino," Jin pointed out.
"We're discussing Starbucks now?" Namjoon asked.
"Iced Coconut Milk," Hoseok noted.
"I prefer Cinnamon Latte, but I admit. I do miss Dalgona Coffee," Jimin chuckled.
"The last time we made one, it has no taste. It was bitter," Namjoon remembered.
"At least, we tried," Jimin said and hovered his gaze towards his best friend. "Umm… Tae…? What's yours?"
Jin, Hoseok, and Yoongi were staring at Taehyung in puzzlement.
"Tae…" Jimin called again sternly.
Yet, he didn't seem to be paying attention when he was too fixated on his phone. Until then, he flinched at the sudden voice raised sharply at him.
"Tae!" Jimin said.
"Hmm?" He looked up instantly, whereas the rest of them were pondering about his absentmindedness. “Sorry, uhh… I always go with black coffee or cappuccino.”
“But you said you don’t like them, didn’t you?” Jimin wrinkled his eyebrows confusedly.
Taehyung’s expression became flabbergasted when he realized his responses were off the track.
He turned to the screen and laughed awkwardly. “Yeah… I was looking at someone else’s comment.”
Hoseok was perplexed and shook his head dismissively to smile at the Army. “Moving onto the next question. Are you planning to get married or stay single?”
Namjoon and Jin kept a straight face, making Yoongi and Hoseok laugh at their reactions.
“I’ll go with the first one,” Jungkook said.
“Why is that? Anyone in particular?” Hoseok wiggled his eyebrows in a smug.
“I did, but…” Jungkook nodded when his smile began to falter, then slightly guffawed. “I’m not so sure if she will come back.”
Jimin got startled as he soon figured out what his friend had said. Though, he could be wrong, so he peered at him skeptically.
“Her name?” Hoseok went on further.
“It’s Army, baby,” Jungkook grinned sheepishly and gave them a heart sign, much to their understanding of his flirty joke.
“Hah. Always,” Hoseok said, clapping his hands and placing them on his chest dramatically.
“I think Yoongi will be the first one since he’s taken,” Jin mentioned.
“Yeah. It’s Sally, right?” Namjoon guessed correctly.
“Hmm,” Yoongi hummed in response until his cheeks turned pink.
“Awww! He’s blushing!” Hoseok pointed his finger at him.
Yoongi covered his face in embarrassment and mumbled. “Shut up!”
“Hehehe,” Hoseok chortled.
“Don’t be shy. The Army accepts and supports her,” Namjoon said as he was scrolling through the comments. “Wow. There is so much love for the both of you. Damn.”
“You’re going to be the second one in line, Papa,” Yoongi jokes.
Namjoon laughed loudly, saying. “Stop it.”
Hoseok took another bite of his salad sandwich and chewed it before he replied. “I don’t know about me, but I would love to hear your opinions from the three vocalists here.”
Taehyung shut his phone and crossed his arms in a dull manner. “Fine. I’ll be honest, I do want to get married.”
“To who?” Namjoon urged.
Taehyung caressed his chin with his index finger and thumb thoughtfully, saying. “Hm. Once I meet her one day, her name is Army, you see.”
Namjoon closed his eyes, whereas Hoseok groaned in exasperation.
“Come on… There has to be someone,” he pointed out.
“I know. That’s what I said, didn’t I?” Taehyung gestured his hands out in emphasis and went back to his phone.
“Okay. Never mind him. How about our little baby Mochi over here? You got something to say?” Hoseok queried.
Jimin blinked a few times in startlement as he snapped out of his trance. “What?”
“Get married or stay single?” Hoseok repeated.
“I don’t know, actually,” Jimin said in contemplation.
“Weh,” Hoseok and Jin looked at him suspiciously.
“I’m serious. I’m still not interested in anyone,” Jimin scrunched up his irritating expression.
“Unless you are ga-” Yoongi didn’t get to finish his sentence with a half-smirk plastered on his face.
“Not even that!” Jimin cut in to yell lividly.
Jin, Hoseok, and Yoongi burst out laughing hysterically when they saw him getting a little flustered. Namjoon, on the other hand, just plainly shakes his head, thinking that his friends have gone crazy.
“Lighten up, man. I was only kidding. I know you are straight like a hot jerky stick,” Yoongi grinned, whereas Jin made a whaling laugh.
“So what is it, then?” Hoseok asked, stifling his own.
Jimin sighed as he muttered quietly. “Single.”
“Why?” He wondered.
“Because the Army already stole my heart,” he answered, smirking and winking at the screen as the comments came flooding in with a lot of hearts.
“Jeez. You know, you’re all full of jokes today,” Hoseok nodded and went back to eat his own snack.
“Anyway, we also want to know your thoughts or if you have any questions, we will answer them to you right away…” Namjoon informed until his voice was starting to fade out in the background.
Jimin decided to glance at his best friend, who is very concentrated on his gaming and texting his friend. His curiosity was slowly crawling through his own mind on who it could be. Though, he couldn’t read the messages because the screen was in dark mode. Instead, he discarded and interacted with the Army in Vlive.
Since then, they are obviously soulmates and would tell each other if something is bothering them. However, Taehyung has usually been very reserved lately. Some of the fans say that he has matured throughout the years, but some of them say the opposite where he feels dreary. For the rest of the members, they know how he acts and they wouldn’t want him to change into somebody else.
Later on, at night, Jimin went back to his individual dorm and collapsed on his own bed. He shut his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose soothingly at the same time.
In the next couple of minutes, he didn’t notice he was beginning to fall asleep composedly. He kept flinching when there were images of him bullying others, his relationship with Chia, and punching his classmates.
…
“Haha. Your music sucks. Who would listen to such a boring nerd?” The dark-haired boy chortled nastily.
“I agree…” he said, gritting his teeth. He took a few steps forward before kneeling down and continued with a menacing tone. “Why don’t you just go back to where you belong, you abominable foreigner…?”
All of a sudden, he held the music sheet paper and tore it apart in pieces. He smirked and threw it across her face.
The helpless girl, on the other hand, silently whimpered when she watched them descended like tethered feathers. Her shoulders got shoved harshly against the lockers as they high-fived with laughter echoing through the empty school hallways. She was left alone by herself and continued to sob quietly.
He looked back at her and kept smirking in satisfaction.
....
One day, everyone was greeting him on his birthday and receiving a kiss from his girlfriend. He hugged her and returned a peck on her lips, then they both deepened it, much to the others cheering and whistling. They let go as soon as one of the photographer students was taking photos of them.
An hour later after school, he waved farewell at his squad and strolled out of the main entrance. He was passing by until he halted for a second to see the girl stepping out of the tall bushes.
“Hi, Jimin… I-I want to give you this…” she stuttered as she showed the gift box to him.
He hovered his gaze at her weirdly in puzzlement and took it by saying. “Thanks.”
The girl’s lips curved into a pleasant smile and bowed her head a little.
Jimin gave her a half-smirk and walked away from her. He came to the garbage bin and disposed of it there, causing her to become confused. He turned around and commented. “Sorry, I don’t accept things from a common freak like you…” He faced his back, leaving the girl in her own shambled thoughts.
….
The day was bright as new when he ended up on a deserted island and saw a silhouetted figure standing on top of the grassy hills near the edge of the cliff.
He was curious to know the person. He moved forward and scrutinized carefully to see the same girl with long, wavy hair that was slightly breezing by the wind. The sun was beaming, which her face wasn’t fully recognized, except her hand holding a flower.
Laughter, crying, and screaming was ringing in his ears until he saw a blood pool on the street where all the 911 emergency teams had gathered.
A tear fell out from the girl’s hollowed eyes full of despair.
….
Jimin gasped out, breathing uncontrollably with sweats forming over his body. He ran his fingers across his blonde hair after waking up in distress and paused for a moment to ruminate.
“What was all that? Ugh…” He facepalmed himself, then glanced at the clock. He widened his eyes as he got a mental hold of, cursing under his breath. “Shit.”
He bolted right out of his bed so fast and instantly wore his sandals prior to slam the door closed.
Once he arrived at the BigHit Entertainment building in about thirty minutes, the rest of the members were already practicing their choreography in the new room.
Namjoon whipped his head and told them to stop as he heard Jimin, looking at them blankly. He approached him with a strict look on his face and questioned. “Why are you late again?”
“I apologize. I was in a heavy, deep sleep,” Jimin explained shortly.
“Better not make any excuses again. You should consider yourself lucky we are not defining your name as ‘late.’ We know how uncomfortable you are when we say,” Namjoon clicked his tongue nonchalantly.
“Yeah. You should get rid of this habit, Chim,” Hoseok encouraged, patting him on the shoulder.
“Okay,” Jimin murmured awkwardly and sighed. “Anyway, let’s practice.”
“Hmm. Let’s go from the top!” Namjoon nodded as they joined their members in the center with their music continuing to play in the background.
Two hours had passed and Jimin headed back to rest at his dorm. He decided to log into the Weverse App to check in on the Army and sat on the armchair in the living room. The news was popping on the TV screen and to his surprise, BTS has once again been nominated for their best group performance.
“I might as well post this, along with my selca,” he considered in his mind and lifted up his phone to take a picture.
The button made a clicking noise as it captured his face and the announcement with a peace hand sign. He smiled pleasantly at his post till a message notification appeared, much to his surprise.
“Hey, are you free to come to my place now?” Bryan asked.
Jimin furrowed his eyebrows queerly and replied back in agreement. “Sure.”
Bryan gave him a thumbs-up emoji without saying any words and further made him wonder. Surely, it’s been a year since they last met, and wouldn’t be terrible if they come into contact.
