Chapter 12: My Question For Lana
Hi Lana,
I have another question for you. I enjoy “pondering the imponderable”. My understanding from The Course is we’re all dreaming in Heaven. All the circumstances and people I’ve known since birth are stored in my subconscious. My mother, father, beloved wife, sister, brother, children, all family, friends, co-workers, customers and everyone I’ve ever met or communicated with are my dream figures. I understand some Course students feel when we wake up in Heaven we’ll no longer think of these folks as we’ve realized our Oneness with Christ and God. As you may remember, my wife Mary Jo died suddenly in front of me at the age of 43 while we were on a 2nd honeymoon. This occurred 21 years ago. I really want to see her in Heaven. Here’s my “Imponderable” question. Is it possible All my dream figures will wake up with me, and we’ll all meet again in Heaven? God Bless, Bob.
Dearest Bob,
Jesus, in ACIM, assures us that every loving thought we have ever had about anyone or anything is saved for us for all eternity. Love is eternal. Love is the only Reality. We are One with Love and every aspect of Love we have ever experienced. Does it make any sense that upon our transition out of form, we are deprived and separated from that all-encompassing Love? I can't tell you how it will all unfold or be experienced. But, I can tell you that the Love you experienced and the Love you shared with your Mary Jo is eternal, and it is impossible that you could ever be separated from the Love you shared.
Once, shortly after my husband Tom transitioned, I was given to know that all of our loving relationships have the eternal reality of the Truth of who and what we are, i.e. the perfect Love of God. I have no fear that the Love Tom and I shared will always exist, and in a much more intense and miraculous way. Love never dies, for Life Is the Love of God in all of its magnificent manifestations. I have this inner knowing that you and I both will be surprised by the joy of reuniting with all of our loving relationships, especially the loving relationships we shared with Tom and Mary Jo. We may just show up as brilliant balls of Light, but we will recognize the Light because we will recognize the Love given and received. Love recognizes Love and remembers Itself. Have no fear, dear friend. Mary Jo is with you now, and she will be with you and you with her for all eternity. Love never dies. Blessings and Love, Lana.
