''Well do ya want any or not?'' said Ras offering Lena the well cooked meat.
Lena still stunned by what was happening immediately took to her feet as she quickly created a sword in her hand with it's blade pointed straight at her prior opponent.
''What is this? Thinking you can coax me into dropping my guard huh.'' she said as she stood her ground towards the man whom she had battled already before only some time ago.
''Easy there girl I don't mean you any harm, I just thought you would be hungry is all.'' cooed Ras with his hands quickly up in the air in response to the young knights questionings.
''You had quite the battle with my buddy so I would recommend not pushing yourself too hard unless you don't mind further injuries, so just take a seat and try some lizard, it is cooked to perfection if I do say so myself.'' said Ras proudly with a gleam in his eye as he extended the stick with the slab of meat on it towards Lena.
Lena boiling with anger was not amused by the scenario unfolding before her as she held her stance towards Ras.
I don't get it. How did I get into this situation, ahh wait after the fight with that shadow I must have passed out from expending so much energy in the fight and was at his mercy at the end. But why would he even bother giving a means to rest, killing me should have been the next step after the fight. I was vulnerable and it would have taken no effort in dispatching me so why is he here basically helping me recuperate?
These thoughts raced through Lena's mind as she tried to assess the situation she was in and what the next appropriate move would have been to make. Ras seeing the girl being a bit volatile decided to take more careful measures.
''Alright alright I'll leave the goods near the fire, so when your comfortable you can help yourself I'll just be eating mine on my side sound good?'' Ras said as he left the meat on the stick near Lena's side of the fire and turned his back to resume eating his.
Lena watched as the man began eating with his back turned without much as a care in the world. This nonchalant attitude only further puzzled Lena making it difficult for her to decided on what to do next. Lena with a deep breath channeled all her strength throughout her body as she quickly leaped backwards from the camp and proceeded to dash away from it.
''I need to find a safe place to recover fully, now that I've taken out his shadow I can focus entirely on him and after that last encounter my chances at defeating and capturing should be higher than--''cough''--before--''cough'' said Lena as she found herself still exhausted from her prior battles.
Lena ran through the desert-like landscape as she surveyed the area for any potential haven for which she could rest safely but soon her run came to a stop as the ground began to quake violently in response Lena leaped onto a large boulder as she continued to survey the area around her continue to rumble.
''What with these crazy quakes, these weren't a thing while I was here earlier.'' questioned Lena as she stood firmly on the large boulder as the quakes continued on and on until finally they stopped. The eerie silence quickly filled the desert floor as Lena jumped off the boulder onto the ground, the sudden silence made her feel a bit uneasy as she looked around for anything unusual.
''Guess it was just some random quakes then, better find somewhere safe until sunrise. I can't stay in the open for too long he might find me so-- what the?!!'' exclaimed Lena as the earth surrounding her began to sink beneath the ground giving the impression of quicksand below her feet. Lena quickly found her feet begin to sink into the ground.
Damn this I gotta think fast here or I won't be able to move at all, thought Lena as she quickly began to amass energy within her hands. Been a while since I tried using your his skills gotta make them count or I'm dead here, Lena thought as the energy in her hands formed into a bow as she directed it below her. An arrow made from her energy materialised as she pulled back the shot with all her strength remaining.
''I hope this works, its now or never!'' exclaimed Lena as she released the arrow from the bow as the projectile swirled into the sinking sand underneath her. The force of the arrow pushed back the earth beneath her which resulted in Lena being launched upwards into the air from it.
''Well that crazy idea worked.'' she said in the air as she scanned the ground below her before she began falling towards it.
''Oh yeah now I gotta worry about landing haha...'' Lena said with a sigh as she began to plunge towards the ground below.
