Esme was so beautiful. Her skin was fair and clear, and her hair was mesmerizing. It was long, and orange with light brown tips. Her face, soft and delicate with the most enchanting hazel eyes I've ever seen. I'd never encountered something so sweet and kind, something that seems so cold and underwhelming become so alluring.
There she stood in front of me all this time, watching and waiting to be seen. We all passed her by and let that one perfect thing go, but what did it really mean? She's invisible to us all most of the year and when she stops by the time seems to fly, and she's gone again.
When she stops by she gets no attention, were all so focus on the demons and killers running through the streets giving them candy when Esme's the real treat. All the kids smile and jump around in the leaves, while Esme silently slips away, and away she stays, not to return for what seems like a lifetime away.
