“I don’t know what I’ve been hearing so get up!” The instant realization jerks me up. The voice was definitely my mother’s.
“Mother?”
She grabs my robe, jerking me upright in less than a few seconds.
“Y-you f-fell -in l-love w-with that… that… that monster?!” Her voice stutters. As if she wanted me to prove them wrong.
“I didn’t!” She holds me up in the air. Everyone, as I assume, can hear but still don’t seem to care. Yehain would’ve said they acted just like humans and I would probably agree with her.
“You didn’t? Then what did Jaswire tell me? And Lundo for a matter of fact?!”
“Nothing. I have no idea what they’re talking about!”
“Oh…”
She puts me down, still holding my tail. I have a suspicion that she wants to pull it off. Now that I think about it, that would be immensely painful. She slits down next to me, pulling a random book off the bookshelf. I mimic her, just to look diligent.
“Did anyone tell you about Yehain?”
“About Yehain?”
“Where she went. I don’t want to leave you in the dark.”
“O-oh. Can you tell me?”
“I think that would be best. Let’s see where do I start?” She searches the book, like that random book held all the answers. I know it doesn’t, I already read it. Finally, she stops on a specific page.

“Y-you saw that picture?” She waits, I wonder what type of picture she thought I saw.
“Anyway, Yehain’s on Earth, a beautiful girl named Yehann. If I’m right, she should just be being born. Also, because I did sew her eyes together, she’s probably blind, such a pity.” I grind my teeth. I know mother’s “pity” is little to nothing. I know she has enough power to help.
“Also, if you are telling the truth about what Mr. Bushé and Lundo said, I have no reason why you're spending your luxurious days as the King of Demon Domain in a library. I left you a present. Go to your room and show me when you're done putting it on.”
I leave the castle, still thinking about Yehain.
