“Sara-Lin, over here! Look at precious!”
“What did you do Daniel?!”
“Nothing. It’s just Yehann can walk, sweetie. I would never hurt her.”
“Get the camera then!”
“Right…”
“I’m coming! Oh, Daniel, what do you think Damian would think. He’d been impressed, right? His daughter could never walk this early!”
“Honey, you know, Yehann’s amazing and all, but you really shouldn’t put my brother’s daughter to shame like that…”
The name aroused my senses. I realized I was walking upright. Was Damian such a common name? In all my lives, I’ve only encountered a few people with the name Damian. My mother, Sara-Lin arrives, loudly, holding a camera, as I assume, a peculiar woman she was, comparing me to every child she ever knew. I can tell Daniel won’t stay for long.
I fall to the floor, scratching my little knees.
“Hey, can’t you stand up a little longer? I couldn’t get a picture…”
“Sara-Lin, you can’t say that. She’s only a toddler for god's sake. Help her up, will you?”335Please respect copyright.PENANAbMaXhRQBen
“Why aren’t you? Here, try letting her go once she stands up. I might be able to get a quick picture.”
“Why do you want our daughter to be the best? Sara-Lin, just take care of her.”
“Daniel, it’s already bad enough that she’s blind. You know she might be the earliest to walk out of any blind baby. Do you know much we might earn?!”
“Sara-Lin, do you only want our child for money?”
“...”
Through the fighting and my own tears, I see his face again. A face that was so strong, so loyal. It was funny when he couldn’t stop staring at my eyes.
“Daniel, look Yehann is laughing.”
“I can tell.”
Usually after one passes a specific age, a being forgets Euothia completely. That’s why adults don’t get it. Once they die, they arrive in Euothia, sacred of a world they once thrived in. Because I’m what one would call a “special case,” I would remember everything once the time comes. More specifically, when I would be returning to Euothia. Every time I die, I can choose to end back up as Yehain. Not many people know I’m special. Once the information was leaked in Demon Domain, almost everyone knew. By now, Damian should know as well, making our friendship break for sure. To tell the truth, I wasn’t sure whose bed I woke up in on that day. I thought it was Damian’s mother, so I attacked. They smelled the same. Once Demona actually came down, I knew I had attacked Damian. I let Demona take me that day. I had to pay for everything I had done.
Euothians could still come to Earth. There is a risk. Once creatures come to Earth, they delete their immortality, even when they go back. For any Euothian, any land other than their own area would make them vulnerable. That’s why demons like Damian, should never leave the borders of Euothia. Damian’s father, Lucas Von Choclin, had a notable reputation for sneaking off to Earth. Everyone assumed he had a lover on Earth he wanted to visit. Once another Von Choclin was chosen, he was no longer allowed to go to Earth, even though he could still die. Lucas Von Choclin was killed the day I arrived at Demon Domain, presumably by Lundo Xavier Choclin.
Like I believe that junk.
That’s a lie and both me and Demona know the truth.
Now, what if someone came to Earth for Euothia, without dying, and then managed to die on Earth? Simple, they are born again on Earth. Usually, nowhere near the area that they died in.
Even worse, when people come to Earth through Euothia, not earth, they keep their features. Therefore, they introduce Euothian culture into Earth. That, specifically, is a death marker from the Euothian Council.
The Euothian Council, is a group of ministers, all species which decide on laws to keep Euothia safe. I knew a woman who was the leader, the sole leader of Euothia all together. After all, as you know, I love that woman. Maybe I still do.
My sensei was also part of the Euothian Council, one of the highest members, other than that woman.
Once the thoughts flow in, they leave, right away, leaving me on the floor, crying for no reason.
