As the calendar said, Yehain would now be one. I hope she enjoys earth as much as I miss her.
As the days go by, the castle attendants have been bustling around. Now that I’m king I have daily visits to the cities. Unexpectedly, my mother didn’t let me talk to anyone else so she comes with me just in case I’m in a situation where I need to talk.
I get up from the new bed, given to me by a fellow aristocrat. Through the last few days, I’ve been wearing a robe that Mr. Bushé handed to me. He stated that he made the robe just for me.
The robe draped straight to my ankle, a safety hazard. I’ve already fallen twice, hitting my nose. Nowadays, I just clip it so it looks like a small dress, laying a little higher than my knee. The arms were definitely a little too large. Mr. Bushé stated that I would grow into it.
Even though I’ve been king for many years, my studies have still continued. Today I learned about a normal human’s life. We started, or I started paying attention when Mr. Chari told what little girls on Earth enjoy. He said that every girl had a “teddy bear,” a toy that mimicked a specific animal, in this case, a bear. The toy was filled with cotton and covered in fur. When I asked Mr. Chari if the fur was real he simply said, “it depends. The worst ones have real fur.” I hope Yehain wouldn’t have a toy like that. That wouldn’t fit her at all.
“King Damian?”
“Yes, Mr. Chari?”
“Call me Traysis, Damian. Anyway, are you thinking about something, or maybe… someone?”
“Oh, no. I was just thinking about-”
“Yehain. My power has never been wrong, Damian.”
“Your power is mind-reading?” I now realize Mr. Chari knows that I haven’t been paying attention to anything in his class.
“Yes, and I know you don’t pay much attention. Do you two have something going on?”
“What?”
“Jaswire, Demona, and Lundo have all told me different stories. I wanted to ask if they were true.”
“I d-don’t k-know anymore.”
“There, there. I can tell you have no idea. To be frank, Damian, Yehain shouldn’t remember you.”
“What do you mean?”
“Once people go to Earth, they slowly erase tracks of their existence in Euothia. Without any disturbances, once someone becomes seven, they should never remember Euothia. I assume Yehain has not yet reached seven years of age.”
“What do you mean by disturbances?”
“Small memories which are evoked.”

“It depends on the connection. Because Yehain only met you for a few days, she should forget you soon. Unless what the others say is true…”
“What did the others say?!”
“Such behavior does not deserve a response. I expected better from the King of Demon Domain.”
“I’m sorry Traysis, can you tell me what they think?”
“I could tell you, but that’s something that you have to figure out on your own. I see that Jaswire was much too forward when talking to you. Pathetic, young love? Who does that?” He laughs under his breath. I feel that he just gave me an answer, but I still have not a single idea.
Young Love? Does Yehain have some kind of lover on Earth?
