Based on a true “my life” story...
Ani yawned as she woke up and looked out the window of the babysitters house before jumping out of the bed and going to the kitchen.
Ani was smart and artistic, brown eyes, brownish-gold hair, a height of 5’3” and a petite hour glass figure. Her hair was shorter in the back and longer in the front and she was a total anime, Broadway musical, book freak.
Her friend Sky was standing at the counter munching on chips as he looked over at her “mornin’” he greeted her, she smiled “morning”
She checked her notifications on her iPad and sighed seeing nothing new but her friends talking about random stuff like porn and yaoi, she wasn’t a fan of porn but yaoi and gay romance stories always made her feel like she belonged.
“So draw anything new?” Sky asked glancing over her shoulder, she practically jumped and whacked him in the face.
Sky was tall about 6’2” with Ashe blonde hair blue eyes and a perfect body, he had gone through multiple years of military service for the navy he wasn’t as much of Broadway musical, book freak as much as ani was but he was definitely into anime.
“Jeez you scared me. And no I haven’t” she replied shook, he chuckled and poked her in the side causing her to flinch “meanie” she pouted, he grinned and put up his chips before saying good morning to his mom who was the babysitter and then walking back to his room.
“Need any help with the babies today tiff?” Ani asked with a smile, Tiffany smiled “nope I got it. If you want you can go hang out with sky” she said, ani nodded and made her way back to his room before plopping down on the couch next to sky who was having trouble beating a level on his ps4.
She watched amused before he lost and she took over winning for him, he rolled his eyes “butthead” he said, she smirked “last I checked my butt was down here you perv” she said gesturing to the bottom half of her body.
He chuckled “so, you gonna invite me to your graduation?” He asked, ani rolled her eyes “I’m only a sophomore Sky.” He smirked “oh yeah I forgot your still a kid” he joked.
Ani glared at him.
Ani was 15 going on 16 so she was almost able to drive and sky...well...he was 27.
Ani never really thought about their age difference much cause they were friends and nothing more otherwise that’d be Illegal, plus they’ve known each other since ani was in diapers and sky was in highschool so they didn’t think much about it.
“I’m not a kid I’m a teenager you ass” she said punching his shoulder gently but still hard, he chuckled “might wanna watch the sass” he said before poking her side.
“Ah.” She glared at him before he had her in his arms tickling her and she busting out laughing.
Ani sighed as she watched the new season of my hero academia with sky since he hadn’t seen it before someone started calling her, she raised an eyebrow and answered her boyfriends voice filling her ears.
She smiled to herself “hey Senpai” she said, she could practically hear Damien’s smile “hey, whatcha doing?” He asked. She glanced at sky who had noticed and went silent “oh hanging out with a friend why?” She asked.
Damien was about sky’s height with an average skinny body, brown curly hair and brown eyes, he was truly a cutie.
“Oh sorry I can hang up if you want” he said, he was so kind that’s partially why she was with him “no no it’s fine, did you need something?” She asked with genuine curiosity. He sighed.
“No not really just wanted to see your face” he said, she blushed and avoided sky’s gaze as he glanced at her with a raised eyebrow.
“Oh...well...crap. I have to go I’m sorry” she lied.
“Alright that’s fine I’ll call later okay” he said, ani smiled “okay love ya” she said, he chuckled “love ya too” he replied before hanging up.
“Boyfriend?” Sky asked, ani sighed and nodded hiding her face, he chuckled. “Oh by the way I have some bad news...” he said.
She raised an eyebrow her attention snapping to him “okay?” She said urging him on.
He sighed pausing the show “so, Monday I’ll be going back to Dayton...” he said, ani’s eyes widened “what why?” She asked, he frowned “I got the job I wanted so I’m moving back into my house again but don’t worry I’ll come visit every once in a while during the summers” he explained.
She nodded a feeling in her gut rising along with a pit in her stomach, what was this feeling and why was it here?
Then it hit her and she realized what it was. It was dread. She didn’t want him to go, but why? She never had this feeling not even when he went to the navy...
Sky watched her curiously before Tiffany came back “hey ani, lunch is ready” she said, ani nodded and followed Tiffany to the kitchen while sky sat in the back waiting.
She ate slowly and frowned.
Sky smiled as ani left and she waved slightly before inning out her face slightly red, her heart was beating faster then ever not knowing why as she rushed to the car.
She knew she liked him now...but she couldn’t tell him...
Ani yawned as she finished a new drawing and stretched before her iPad dinged with a new message, she raised an eyebrow and looked at the message.
Sky buyers: hey found your Facebook, how are ya?
She frowned ignoring it and going over to her windows before a smile crossed her lips and she flopped onto the bed. This was the way it was supposed to be. Just friends nothing more. At least...until she graduated college especially since now she knows she’s trans...and technically gay.
Sky was straight but that wasn’t gonna stop ani (andi) from stealing his heart when he finished highschool and college.
A/N: hope you liked the story :) this is based off a true thing that has happened currently in my life and since I joined this it gave me a reason to get this off my chest.
