(Ava's P.O.V.)
We spend the next few days sightseeing, the temperature below freezing, and now that we've spent a week here it's time to go to Alberta. We pack our stuff up in the suitcases and head out for the Amtrak. We put our luggage overhead and took a seat. I had the window seat so I decided to look out at the view for a bit. The snow fell a bit more intensely. The scenery is amazing.
The train starts moving and a wave of excitement comes over me and I'm a bit overjoyed to get to our next location to see what else is ahead. I feel an intense stare so I decided to look and it's Daniel "What is it?" I ask in a low tone. "What do you think happens future wise from here?" He asked. "As I told you to graduate school, have a successful career, and love you for the rest of my life," I say with a smile. "House wise where should the location be? Or what are you thinking about for a location." He says "I'm not quite sure yet, but I want to be somewhat able to access everyday things easily without hassle." I say. After a while, he starts up a conversation again "Our children are going to be extraordinary." He says. "Yes, they are, because we will train them well," I say. "You're going to be an amazing mother. He says "And you're going to be an amazing father. The times won't be easy but we'll make each moment on this earth count as if it were our last." I say.
He grabs my face and kisses me without warning. I'm a bit shocked but respond almost immediately. It deepens and then comes to a slow stop. "I love you." You say in a whisper. "I love you too," I say breathlessly.
We landed in Alberta finally after a long hour to an hour and a half.
We grab our stuff and get off. We get a car and head for the Johnston Canyon. "I'm excited to see the view from wherever we're at," I say to you. "You're gonna love it." You say. Arriving we get out and start heading onto one of the trails. The sights are beautiful but since it's winter everything is covered in a solid layer of snow, water off the sides of the mountain create icicles and the lakes have frozen over to solid ice. A few minutes pass by fast. (I pick up a handful of snow and aim it in her direction) before I throw I say "heads up" (she turns and before she can react I throw) It hits her chest. "Ow. That hurt" I say smiling. "Yeah right." You say and throw another. I start to laugh standing there saying "Stop." With a smile, you throw a few more. I run in your direction and tackle you onto the snow. We stare into each other's eyes for a good five minutes. It's silent besides the sounds coming from the nature around us. After a while, I break the silence and say with a smile "You like this don't you?" "Of course I do, I'm enjoying myself just having your company amor." He replies and it sends shivers down my spine.
We stand up and (You pick me up and start spinning around at a fast speed) I laugh uncontrollably and cling onto you tighter. "Put me down!" I say while laughing however he doesn't budge. After a good minute, he finally slows to a stop and put me down.
I'm still laughing and he just looks into my eyes intently. "What was that for?" I ask. "No reason." He says. I look at him with a glare. (Why no reason, you don't just pick someone up and spin them around for "no reason") "Mhmmmm," I say back and start running away from him without warning. "Hey, get back here." He says and he chases after me. After less than a minute he hugs me from behind, wrestles me to the ground, and has me pinned. "Now what was that for?" He asks. "No reason," I reply in a mocking type of way laughing a bit. "This isn't a joke." He replies "Ohh really? Then why didn't you reply when I asked the reason." I say with a continuous smile. "It was because I was overjoyed that I was here with my favorite person in the whole wide world and I just wanted you to have a bit of fun in my arms gripping onto me for protection." He says. I'm left speechless and can't find the right words to say. So I choose to say nothing and just stare into his eyes.
Standing up we continue to walk hand in hand along the trail and see tall trees, water, and mountainsides covered in a thick layer of snow. The scenery is beautiful." I say. (even if everything is covered in a white blanket it's not something you'd see every day.) I think to myself.
"Yea, but you want to know what's more breathtaking and more beautiful than that?" He says pulling me by the hand back slightly enough for me to stop. turn and look "What??" I say. "No, not what." He says pausing for a moment then continues saying "Who." "Then who?" I say he steps close enough that I can now feel his breath on my face. "You." He replied. I'm standing just staring into his eyes and inhaling sharply but exhaling slowly not replying. "You had me at Hello. When I'm with you I get lost in the moment. You're an angel that's beautiful by design. You took my breath away with your brown eyes. I could get easily lost in them. I love spending time with you, I don't feel the same when you're not around. I'd rather you stay right here beside me than leave and have me not know how you are. If you're ok, worrying if I'll ever get to see you again" You say continuing to look deep in my eyes. "I can't have a literal second of peace just knowing that you can't be by my side when I'm anywhere where I can't see you having joy at all", Daniel said.
Hours pass and the sky starts getting darker clouds to roll over and because it's night time it gets colder and that's a sign it's time to go home. We go back up the trail to the car and head out of the canyon. "So What now?" I ask. "Hmm. I've got something planned but you're just going to have to wait and find out." He says looking towards me smiling. "Nooo, please tell me," I reply. "Nope, you're gonna have to wait." He says.
