“Ladies and gentlemen, I know this is the day we’ve all been waiting for… Termination Day!”
Everyone sat, watching their TVs in horror. There wasn’t a single person outside. Not even children, who would usually play ball in the neighboring fields. Silence. The only noise in the world was the man in the suit, about to announce the ever longing dread to everyone’s life.
“For the poor, unfortunate people who don’t know how this works, then you are in for a treat! We have every age in the world in this hat right here...” As he says that, his female companion shows the hat with all the paper slips in them. “We will pull from this hat 5 times, and if you get called, please report to your nearest city hall.” He then reached his hand into the hat. “The 5 unlucky numbers are: 17. 56. 4. 0. Ooh that’s rough. Annnnndddd… 35!” 211Please respect copyright.PENANAnl30cB0NyA
Screaming came from my family. Mother was 35 years old… She cried and cried until her eyes became red. My father freaked out for the safety of his wife. I look back at my mother, and she was out cold. My father, now crying, lifted her up and hid her in our attic.
She stayed there, hidden and Silent for 3 weeks, but it wasn’t long until the government found out. After threatening our family to kill us all if they don’t search for Amy, my mother. She was found and taken away 30 minutes later.
The night before, I was 4, and since my birthday was termination day, I turned 5. I was almost taken with her. I was hours from death.
