"It's gonna be okay , I love you Sky." he said while whipping the tears coming down from my eyes. Suddenly the floor under us crumpled sending us falling down in the dark.
I woke up breathing heavily.
" Weird dream." I said panting , taking deep breaths to call myself down. Suddenly a soft knock on the door got me to reality ,
" Hunny you ok ? You should get up you don't wanna be late for you first day of school."
My mother soft voice came from outside my room , she sounded tired probably Sam kept crying all night. I got up from bed , I rubbed my face with the palm of my hands and slapped my face lightly.
" Okay let's get this started."
We just transferred in Los Angeles and had to start a new school but I got in time for the first semester. First problem of the day , what to wear, I decided on skinny black jeans and blue baggy shirt. I washed up got dressed and applied my make up as I do every time , a bit of foundation to cover my pale face , blush and a hint of lipstick, I brushed my black hair and straightened it , it fell down to my waist. As
I went down the stairs ," Skyy grab me." small feet came running to me , as I looked down I saw my 4 year old brother , " Andy don't run like that you're gonna fall." My mum said from the kitchen. I grabbed my little brother, he was skinny so he was light , his black hair all messy and his blue eyes glowing up at me.
" Hey there little fellow , being a good boy as usual right?"
" Yesh."
He said beaming up at me. I put him down lightly , then went to the baby crib where little Sam was sleeping silently , I leaned in and kissed her forehead softly trying not to wake her up , she was 7 months old and she was extremely beautiful , I have to keep in mind that I'll have to protect these 2 when they grow up , too much beauty just like mum. My mum turned around to look at me , she looked really tired and needed rest.
" Mum why don't I take Andy to preschool and you rest just for a bit , Sam's sleeping anyway." She smiled softly at me and came to hug me
" Thank you hun , that would be wonderful."
" Go , I'll make breakfast and leave you a plate in the microwave."
" Thank you dear , love you."
She kissed me on the cheek and went slowly to lie down on the sofa .
" I love you too mum."
I looked at her as she slowly put her tiny body on the sofa and immediately fell into deep slumber. My dad went missing shortly after Sam was born , and my mum had to raise 3 children on her own , I help her were I can but she doesn't like when someone tries to help her.
" Sky , food."
Andy grabbed my hand and dragged me to the kitchen, I prepared some pancakes and chopped down slices of fruit to make it more healthy and gave it to little Andy which gladly opened up his tiny mouth and gulped everything in. I prepared some for mum and cover it with plastic and wrote a note" Don't overdo yourself, Love you." And prepared something for me , poured some tea in a mug and slowly drank it as I kept taking glancing from Andy to Sam. Andy kept looking up and down while slowly eating,
" Andy , is everything ok hun?"
I asked him as I walked and seated in the chair next to him, he fidgeted a bit and asked quietly,
" Will papa ever come back?"
He was smart for a 4 year old and actually smarter than me sometimes ,
" I don't know small fry I hope so." I said as I sighed as this thing was always hard to explain to him.
" I miss him."
He said while finishing his plate.
" I miss him too bud."
I gave him a small peck on the head and grabbed his plate and my mug and washed everything as he grabbed his bag. I slowly grabbed Sam and moved the crib near my mum so if she cried she could grab her quickly, she seemed so tired and worn out , she's so beautiful but she lost her radiance when dad went missing, she looks so sad sometimes while she's looking at me, I look like him so it must hurt her so badly and I am torn apart every time it happens. I gave her a kiss on her head and so did Andy , I grabbed my bag and checked around to see if everything was fine , then grabbed my car keys and closed the door after us quietly. When we arrived to preschool , which apparently Andy had to attend just for a month until the next semester starts for Kindergarten.
" You must be Jessica." A smiling women came up to me.
" Oh no no I'm her daughter , something came up and I offered to bring this little bud here myself." I smiled at Andy as he was hiding after me.
" It's okay , so your Andy right?" She leaned down to face him and he nodded as he blushed and covered himself after my skinny legs which didn't give him much of a cover up. She seemed a kind lady and she was very beautiful , long blond hair that fell down to her waist and big blue eyes which shine every time she smiles , she must be in the early 30's. I turned to face Andy and leaned down to him and said :
" Okay little guy I have to go , so you should be a big guy and show how you are well mannered and show of those big pretty blue eyes you got there."
I said while flipping his black hair behind his ears, he smiled lightly and hugged me.
" Love you Sky." he said while slowly stepping from behind me and going to were his teacher stood. I stood up and smiled down to him.
" Love you too hun. I'll come get you later okay ? Be a good boy." He waved at me and grabbed the teachers hand and both disappeared while entering the building.
I sighed heavily and turned around and headed to my car , but when I was about to turn around to where my car is , I accidentally bummed in someone , with the impact I fell backward landing on my butt.
" Ow , Sorry about that."
" You slammed down on your butt and your saying your sorry?" a low but sexy voice said to me , I looked up and damn , I must look like a total idiot.
" You okay?" he chuckled softly while offering his hand to help me up.
" Y-Yeah sorry." I blushed slightly as I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up. When I was up I brushed off the dust from my bum which of course I fell on a dusty part of the road , just my luck.
" Sorry about that I was lost in thought." he said while smirking at me while his cute dimples came popping out.
" It's okay I wasn't looking either." I said while looking at him.
" You are young to be a mother don't you think?" Okay now he was being offensive.
" First I'm not a mother , I'm here for my brother and secondly not your concern anyway." I said while rolling my eyes , he was hot but he thinks he's all that , I hate guys like him.
" Feisty aren't we?" he said showing off his teeth , damn I could just stare at him all day. His dirty blond hair which slightly moved with the wind , his blue eyes which looked down at me , and his lip ring. Okay I think I'm drooling here. I broke the stare and moved past him to go to my car.
" Okay sorry , so what's your name beautiful?" he came running by my side.
" You came into me and caused me to fall on my butt and you made fun of me and you expect me to just say my name like that ?" He looked at me
" Yeah."
He said with no expression at all. Ugh.
" Skyler , that's my n---" I said when I slipped on something and was about to fall again but this time on my face , which probably would hurt a bit more, a bit.
" Whoa."
An arm grabbed me from my waist and steadied me back up in position , when he let go I could still feel his warm arms around me.
" I'm Luke, nice to meet you Skyler." I almost smiled at him but he continued,
"and I didn't know I had that effect on people to make them fall almost twice in just a matter of minutes."
I looked at him trying not to say something stupid or something I would regret later so I just walked away pressed the button to open up my car and closed the door , he leaned down to my window.
" No retort ? I expected more." I glared at him now .
" I'm much more of the silent type if you can understand that."
I smirked at him and started the engine and left hot blond Luke smiling while my car drove away from him and mostly driving me away from him.
