In a far away kingdom of Alcombey, a little princess named Theia Griffen was born. Her long black hair was braided as she slept in her cradle. Her parents kept a good eye on her, they were proud of her but the kingdom on the other hand didn't like the new princess. They wanted a prince and not a dandy little thing like herself. The king and queen were hopeless, instead of keeping their daughter here to get bullied by most of the people she was given to her aunt to keep her safe. Theia's aunt lived in the woods, why you ask. Well how should I know.
" Theia where are you child" a women yelled as the girl skipped around the cottage
" I'm just out side mum" she spoke and stopped as her aunt chuckled
" its time for dinner love" the women answered
The girl skipped along the stone path as she hummed towards the door, walking inside the fresh smell of soup and tea overwhelmed her senses. Closing the door behind her she watched as her aunt placed two plates not he small dining room table before sitting down herself. Theia sat down and placed her hands in her lap before her aunt began to speak a small prayer. It was normal to do this every supper, for her aunt was religious and didn't exactly know how to take care of a child. But Theia didn't mind really since she thought it was normal for people to do this. After dinner she put all the dishes away into the sink and washed them before drying them with a towel. Theia finished before glancing over to her aunt.
" I need you to go into town to get some food, would you mind Theia" the aunt asked
" of course mother, ill got get the basket" she smiled and went up to her room to grab her basket.
Putting on her slippers she runs out the door following the stone path her aunt put down to show the way to town. Her aunt told her to say her name was Adara, why she didn't understand this but did it anyway. She skipped alone the path as she hummed to the birds songs. Carefully watching her step as she crossed a river she noticed someone singing in the woods. Raising an eyebrow she followed it, and ended up looking at a male. She hid behind a tree as she watched him walk around the small meadow of flowers. Her head tilted as she kept her eyes on him, which was probably a bad idea.
" i wonder what mother would say" she muttered to herself
" is anyone there" the boy spoke looking around him
Theia didn't realize she said that herself, she got embarrassed and didn't realize any further that she changed her appearance. She wanted to speak to him, but aunt said not to speak to strangers. She parted her lips and nodded.
" well I'm here" she spoke thinking he heard her, he looked at her and smiled
" what a beautiful ride you are, where did you come from" he spoke looking at her like she was some type of animal
" i am not a ride to you sir" she snorted then noticed she wasn't using her arms
" such beauty" he continued to speak " I guess i can ride bare back" he added as he jumped onto her back.
" your such a pain in the ass prince" she growled which mad him shut up
" who said that now" he questioned
" your riding it idiot" she chewed on the wood of her basket that was still placed in her mouth
Theia didn't know how this happened or how she knew he was a prince, but she just rolled with it. She looked behind her and saw the stone path, she snickered and walked towards it heading into town. The prince just looked around as she lowered her head in disbelief. She got to the gates and the prince was allowed in, people gathered around him, wanting his hand in marriage. She raised an eyebrow before rolling her eyes in disgust, why did she have to find a prince like him. Theia walked further into the kingdom, a women was standing at the top of some stairs waiting for him. She stopped in her tracks and neighed softly, the prince sighed and jumped off.
" welcome home Daniel" the women smiled
" thanks mother" he responded which made Theia confused even more
" who's the beauty you road on here" she asked
" oh, I found her in the woods. I'll go put her in the stables" he spoke as he jumped back onto her and road her to the stables.
Her tail lashed about as she walked slowly into the stable looking at all of the other horses, who just stared at her. Being slightly insulted she was brought to an empty stable, it was cleaned with hay and clean water. The prince called Daniel closed the door and patted her nose before walking away. Her coat was a grayish black color with white spots all over it, her muzzle was black. She had two black socks one in the front and another in the back. She brought her head out of her stable and looked around, most of the other horses seemed to be stallions. That scared her.
" mothers not going to like this" she snorted as she let her head fall
People walked past her and took other horses out of their stables, no one touched Theia's. She looks down at the name tag that was on the door, "Prince Daniels Horse" and nothing more. A man came up to her stable and pat her head before closing the top of the door, she guessed it was time to rest which she desperately needed. Laying down on the floor she was able to close her eyes in peace.
" sir your horse, well she isn't a horse anymore" someone spoke
" what do you mean" he questioned as he looked into the stable
What once was his beautiful horse, was now a girl. Theia had changed back into her human self over night, which was probably a bad idea. The prince opened the other half of the door and walked into the stable, he crouched down and gently caressed her arms and legs into his arms. Standing back up he walked out of the stable keeping her close to him.
The next thing she new she was in a bed and the prince was watching her from a far, sitting up slowly she pulled the covers closer to her body. The prince stood up and was about to speak before Theia did.
" why did you bring me inside, aren't I just a peasant to you. I don't deserve this" she growled as he was taken back
" you were a horse yesterday, I don't know whats going on" he questioned
" I'm impressed you never heard of your older sister brother" she glared at him
" brother? sister? I don't know know what you mean, I just call the queen mother because she's like that type of figure to me." he epxlained
" oh my bad, I'm princess Theia. I was ordered to stay with my aunt in the woods because the people hated me" she sighed as she looked down at her body
Her clothing was still on her body, which made her less stressed. She got out of bed and fixed her dress before looking back up to the prince. He explained that her mother told him about her, but her mother thought she would never come home. Theia thought so, her aunt told her about her mother. But still called her aunt, mother. The thing she wasn't told was her ability to shape shift, which was a mystery on how she could do so.

" its okay, I guess i deserved it. Um mother doesn't know your hear maybe you can change back into a horse or something else maybe" he shrugged as Theia shrugged
She thought for a moment before changing into a blue jay, she flew onto his shoulder. He chuckled as he slowly walked out of the room without putting attention onto himself. Once he got to the stables Theia changed back into a horse, she snorted as Daniel who jumped onto her back. He asked her what she was in town for she answered back to tell him it was for my aunt. He took my basket and got a bunch of fruit and vegetables for her, some bread as well. She galloped out of the town back towards the cottage.
" oh why hello there prince Daniel, what is it that you need" aunt spoke
" your niece and this" he held out the basket to her which made her smile even more
" my niece" she looked at Theia with an uneasy eye

" oh right, I keep forgetting to tell you about it. Why don't you come in for some dessert, it won't take long" the aunt suggested and walked into the kitchen
Theia clapped her hands and glanced at Daniel, he did the same with his hands in his pockets.
" so whats going to happen to us once your mother knows your still alive" he asked
" ill ask here if I can be friends with you, hopefully that will be polite enough" she giggled and ruffle this hair before skipping into the cottage.
Daniel followed and enjoyed the dessert aunt made, before long it was time for bed. Daniel walked home but as for Theia she sat on her bed thinking of him mostly.
The next morning she woke up and got dressed in her finest dress, the door bell rung and she opened the door before her aunt could get it. Daniel was standing their with a few guards, Theia bowed before putting her slippers on. She said goodbye to her aunt before getting onto a horse behind him. She hummed to the birds songs as they flew past her and around her, which made Daniel laugh. They finally arrived at the kingdom and every girl was looking at her, she noticed that they realized it was her. They didn't know what to say, she knew to keep quiet. But she wanted to get the girls going, she kissed Daniels cheek to hear them growl and scream. He just blushed and keep his eyes in front of him. He got off his horse and helped Theia down before heading into the castle.
