I can't believe my mom agreed to send me to bad princess/prince camp. My step-dad just announced that he had signed me up without my permission a month ago when he heard about it over. And guess what the camp starts in one week. I got so angry that I walked out without a single word to my favorite place in the whole castle, the tallest tower in the castle that homes a spirit that I consider my best friend, Isabella. I don't care that my step dad is probably muttering bad things about me under his breath while my real mom is trying to shut up my 2 step brothers from doing their ugly donkey-like laugh. After a while of pacing and speaking to Isabella, I began to calm down and heard a knock on the door.
"I'm sorry for intruding, but I am Prince Monroe and I would like to see you, princess Rachel," said a man's voice that I've never heard before.
"What should I do Isabella?" I asked quietly. The long mirror turns towards me and the bottom leans towards the door beckoning for me to open the door. "Okay thanks, Isabella." I open the door to see a prince that looks like he's glowing. The prince looks very at me with the same shocked face as I had for seeing him. We stare at each other for a long time until Prince Monroe finally decides to look away.
"Princess Rachel?" He asks avoiding my gaze.
"If you going to talk to someone you have to be able to look them in the face which you of all people should know Prince," I spat out in a harsh tone. Okay, so maybe I was still hung over my step-dad sending me to camp without my permission. He turns to look me straight in the eye surprising me, but I kept my composure.
"I intended to come here to see who my future sister-in-law would look like and if she deserves to marry my younger brother, Trevor, but now I see that he doesn't deserve you," he says challengingly.
"I believe you're mistaken. I'm not marrying your brother." A gust of wind shattered the one window in the tower behind me and starts to twirl around me. I know that I should probably calm down before I use my secret witch powers that show up when I get very mad, but at that moment I was too full of magic to do that. I smile at Prince Monroe lifting him up in the air and motion for his body to hover outside the window a slave to my powerful untamed magic.
"Any last words Prince Monroe before you die?" I ask before letting out a little girly laugh. I quickly take my magical powers off of Prince Monroe before he can even utter a word. Instead of falling down to his death which is what the evil witch power inside of me wanted, Prince Monroe continued to hover outside the window. Somebody else with powers like my own must have been the one to intervene and it annoys me to have not noticed the other person's presence when they walked in. I turned around with my hands in a fist and my arms straighten with a scowl on my face.
"I can't have you killing him or anybody dear," said my mother.
"You know there's no way I'll marry Trevor," I say to her angry at her for having that even be a prospect in my future. Trevor so far is the only prince that keeps seeing me even after I had tried to scare and freak him out like all of the other suits my step dad tries to marry me off with. My dearest mother allows him to do so simply because she doesn’t want to use her witch powers on something so “trivial” as stopping him from doing dumb things.
"Oh dear I know that but that man of mine keeps trying to make you see otherwise, " She says as she massages his forehead with her other hand that's not keeping Prince Monroe hovering in the air.
"Then I'll have to make sure that he gets it. Do you know where the servants put the leftover paint from painting my room?"
"Mommy's really tired today so can we talk about this tomorrow dear?" I force the last of the magic in me that had suddenly increased at the prospect of having my step dad become another victim to leave me so I could calm down a little as I walked to the door. "Get some sleep I think we all need some after today. Isabella, please take care of her while I finish up in here."
"Of course madam," Isabella said appearing from behind the long mirror that she used to gesture to open the door for Prince Monroe. As the door behind me closes it hits me. I could have killed him. I would have been a murder. I suddenly feel very nauseous like I'm going to puke. Isabella catches me before I can fall down the stairs.
