A door creaked open quietly, and a young woman crept inside a cave. She was dressed in black and had marks covering half of her face, revealing only her red iris eyes with thick, long lashes. The crystal stone cave was extremely spacious and twinkled with light. A little, clear crystal box in the centre of the room held a golden ring that shone brightly like the sun. A tremendous white smoke was swirling around it to give the box protection.
As soon as the young woman's eyes met the ring, she crossed her arms across her face to shield her eyes from the ring's brightness, and she chanted a spell repeatedly and the ring's brightness gradually lost its light. As she noticed the brightness of the ring fading, she cautiously withdrew her arms away from her face. When she was finally able to look at the ring on the spherical altar in the centre of the cave, a mischievous smile grew across her lips. And she began to approach the altar with caution, muttering spells.
As the wispy smoke disappeared into the thin air, she stretched her hands to the box and delicately took it up like the magnificent treasure it was. The young woman smirked, her eyes full of disbelief. She had done it?! She thought and She hurriedly placed the box in a black bag and exited the cave.
"Hey! Stop!"
As she walked out of the room, the young woman heard a yell behind her. When she saw a young lady rushing toward her, she looked behind her back and her lips twisted into a devilish smile. She jumped over a roof and stared down at the young lady running after her. She shook her head as she tsked, and then she vanished into thin air.
The young lady screamed in surprise, her eyes wide, as the young lady vanished right in front of her. Her legs and mouth went numb as she looked in a stupor at the roof.
"Ava!"
As soon as she heard her godmother shout her name, Ava shook out of her trance and rushed to her.
The golden ring was a powerful emblem that signified the kingdom's beauty and serenity. If the ring went missing, many people would perish.
The Blue Sea Kingdom was an underwater kingdom. Mermaids lived there, and they could control water. Their beliefs prohibit evil or blood, and as a result, they despise other beings because they believe they are evil ones. They also did not dare to leave their domain for fear of being stained and sent away from the kingdom.
Queen Natasha of Blue Sea Kingdom sensed something weird going on someplace in the domain but couldn't figure out what it was. When she spotted Amelia running into the courtroom, she grimaced. And stared at the young lady with interest and concern.
"The golden ring has been stolen, my Queen." She sobbed.
Natasha and the others in the room jumped out of their seats.
"What?!" Davina exclaimed with shock.
"Ava had chased her down, and I couldn't find her either."
Natasha bolted from the room, while others rushed after her.
They passed by Ava standing alone on their way to the secret cave. And Queen Natasha stopped as she was concerned for her and yelled her name.
"Ava!"
Ava emerged from her trance and ran toward Davina.
"Mother! Mother! Mother! The golden ring has gone missing!" She yelled.
"My Queen," someone said. Those who had gone to investigate the cave ran up to the queen, their faces contorted with fear and bewilderment.
"We can't seem to find the ring."
Natasha's face became completely white as she received the news; she was completely stunned and speechless.
Why is this so? Who could have done anything like this? Natasha was perplexed, and she clenched her fists, her eyes flaming with rage.
"It has to be someone close to us. Nobody else knows anything about us or our kingdom. This has to come from someone familiar with us." One of the people stated.
"Lucifer!" Natasha muttered angrily, gritting her teeth.
