My name is Azar Belts. I am sixteen years old and attend Westpoint High as a sophomore. Ever since I can remember, I was able to use fire to my advantage. I could draw fire out of thin air and hold it in the palm of my hand. When I was younger I couldn't control it. I burnt down our small apartment and my parents took me far away from civilization. As I got older I learned to control my powers and keep them hidden from the rest of the world. I was soon able to attend normal schools and make friends. I was doing quite well until that dreaded night.
Me and my friends were at a party, Chloe Vanderfall's party. Chloe was the popular girl. She was rich, spoiled, and lived in a giant mansion. She also happened to have a giant crush on me. I was the captain of the football team, shaggy brown hair, blue eyes, muscular build. She was the popular girl, soft blond hair, brown eyes, model body. Our love was written in all the stars across the galaxy. All of the stars except mine. 647Please respect copyright.PENANAyGJy9a5gVs
As we entered Chloe's mansion, Chloe sang out our arrival. The party guests swarmed us. Damon, my best friend of all time and team captain of our world renowned Cyber Patriot team, began to flirt with every single girl that walked his way. My other friend, Emily, rolled her eyes at Damon's terrible flirting skills and disappeared into the crowd to find the food. That left me alone with Chloe.
Chloe sauntered over to me, immediately linking her arm with mine. "So you finally decided to visit your girlfriend huh?" She asked me, leaning into my side.
"Your not my girlfriend." I huffed, disentangling my arm from hers. I felt my fire ignite inside of me, my hands grew warm.
"Aw, just because we're not dating doesn't mean its never going to happen." She walked closer to me. I felt my self heating up, sweat beaded on my brow.647Please respect copyright.PENANApfKNxHB1iL
"Is their somewhere I can go-"
"I think we're a bit to young for that." She cut me off, walking her fingers up my chest. I reached my boiling point and shoved her away from me. She gripped her chest in surprise, right above her shirt collar were two red hand prints. "Did you burn me?" She gasped, her eyes widening in terror.647Please respect copyright.PENANA3rmJwTe6vb
"I have to go." I stuttered, stumbling backwards. I raced through the crowd heart pounding in my chest. I needed to get to a bathroom, somewhere with water. I shoved people out of the way, leaving people screaming in pain in my wake. I felt my body get hotter and hotter. Small flames came to life on my fingers and I hurriedly snuffed them out on my shirt. I found a bathroom and raced inside slamming the door behind me. As soon as my fingers grazed the wood of the door, it burst into flame. I watched in horror as the fire ate through the wood with ease. Before I knew it, the flames raced through the entire house. Party goers screamed and ran. I stood in the middle of the wreckage, flames flared all around me. I had to get out of here. I had to leave this place and never come back. People were not safe around me, I couldn't risk their lives.
As I fled the fire I heard the sirens race around the corner. What they were going to find was more than just a house fire, but one that burned down an entire city in one day. One that almost wiped the population of Westpoint to zero.
