The Titan Atlas was the most formidable of them; therefore Zeus decided that it was best to keep him out of trouble by forcing him to hold the earth on his shoulders for all eternity. His palace is lost in clouds and darkness.Night and Day meet there beneath the eucalyptus tree and as they exchange pleasing words in passing they try not to look at him for it is not a pleasant sight.
As for the House of Day and Night, only one will reside there at any time, but never both at the same time.Sleep, Death's twin brother, lives there, but he leaves rarely.
The others were mercilessly thrown into Tartarus.
There they lie chained to the wall causing earthquakes and storms every so often, trying to escape.
But a smiths anvil can fall for nine days and nine nights without hitting the bottom in Tartarus. And then for another nine days and nine nights will it fall;over and over, and still hasn't reached bottom.

"You have thrown my earlier progeny into the Pit,"cried Earth in distress,"why is it that my children are no better than the monsters they abhor?"
But no matter how she cried,Zeus was hard hearted and wouldn't forgive the Titans.
Gaia in revenge gave birth to another monster,Typhon.
"You will be my champion,"she told him,"every other has betrayed me.Go forth and wrest him from the throne!"
Typhon was a fire breathing dragon possessed of a hundred heads;his breath spread disease and pestilence;his eyes turned you to stone. He was taller than the earth to the moon and his body as wide as the starry night. His dragon scales were harder than rock and couldn't be pierced by arrows.
The God's fought him in their numbers but he only threw them aside as you would a leaf blowing in the wynd.
