Camila and Lord Reynold would have continued talking, but someone was coming. Camila dashed back inside of the castle and Lord Reynold fled out of court. The person was really a guard that heard someone walking around.
Camila boiled up in rage. She couldn't believe that her own friend would deceive her like that.
Camila was pacing back and forth in her bedchambers thinking about Lord Reynold, when one of Elizabeth's servants came. "Ma'am, Elizabeth awaits your company." said the servant.
The servant took Camila to Elizabeth in her chambers. "Camila, where have you been? I thought you were going to join me at breakfast." asked Elizabeth seriously. Then she noticed how angry Camila looked and motioned for her servant to leave them. The servant bowed and left the room. "What's wrong Camila?"
"Why did you make Lord Reynold leave?" asked Camila furiously. Elizabeth looked shocked. She never expected for Camila to notice.
"Camila, I promised you that I will marry you a wealthy guy." said Elizabeth before hugging Camila. "Lord Reynold, didn't have anything to offer you."
"Who said that Lord Reynold was going to propose?" asked Camila before pushing Elizabeth off.
"He obviously wanted you to marry him. I saw him writing love letters for you." said Elizabeth. "If you married him, you would have been ruined."
"Elizabeth, what if I did marry him? What is so wrong about that?" asked Camila crossing her arms.
"If you married him, you would ruin your family's hope to get rich. You would forever make them disappointed in you." said Elizabeth. "Besides, it wasn't like you loved him."
Camila just agreed with Elizabeth. Camila thought what she was feeling for Lord Reynold wasn't love. Besides, she only came to provide her family with wealth and honor. Soon Lord Charles would be back, and she would be happily married.
For the rest of the day, Elizabeth and Camila discussed ways to help her reputation at court before it was destroyed. Elizabeth went out to the people and explained to them that she wasn't pregnant and it was just a rumor. The town people believed anything you said, and listened to Elizabeth.
During the whole thing, Elizabeth forgot about what Antonius would say about the rumor. During the beginning of the rumor, Antonius and his men went off on a hunting trip. That day, Antonius would be back.
Elizabeth paced back and forth of her bedchambers wondering what could she possibly say to Antonius to make him believe her. Could she tell him the truth and hope he believes the child is his? Or should she lie to him and say she isn't pregnant?
Elizabeth didn't have much time, for outside of her window she could see Antonius returning from hunting. Elizabeth rushed outside of the castle to meet with the rest of the royal family. They were to wait outside of the castle for Antonius's arrival.
As soon as Antonius arrived, everyone could tell that the hunting trip was successful. He was very radiant. All during dinner, Antonius was telling everyone about the hunt. How was Elizabeth going to mess up his mood with this bad news?
That night Antonius and Elizabeth went back to her chambers. This was the time for Elizabeth to tell Antonius about the pregnancy. Antonius was very drunk from the feast and couldn't even walk in a straight line. Elizabeth helped Antonius sit on the couch and she sat on her bed.
"Antonius, I have something very bad to tell you." Elizabeth began. Antonius listened to this and he looked very serious.
"The news has to be very bad if you are going to mess up my celebrating with it." said Antonius.
"I am...pregnant." said Elizabeth. Antonius jumped right out of his chair. Antonius rubbed his hands threw his hair and paced back and forth.
Antonius went up to Elizabeth with a worried look and asked, "Who is the father?".
"You obviously." said Elizabeth fidgeting with her fingers.
"What is the problem then?" asked Antonius.
"I know that your father has been looking for another bride for you. A bride that has more power and wealth than England is his goal." said Elizabeth. Antonius froze and stared at Elizabeth.
"How did you now that?" asked Antonius.
"So you knew? Why didn't you tell me then?" asked Elizabeth.
"What difference would it make?" asked Antonius.
"I wouldn't have shared a bed with you if I knew." said Elizabeth.
"Who told you of this classified information? Tell me." demanded Antonius with a voice Elizabeth never heard him use before. Elizabeth didn't like this side of Antonius. She was rather afraid of it.
"I am not stupid, Antonius!" screamed Elizabeth. "You treat me like I am one of your play toys you could just throw around. I am the future queen of England."
"You could be the future queen of the world! I don't care. You are a woman, women don't get a lot of power. I am the future king of Rome. That is a better title than queen." said Antonius.
Elizabeth couldn't take it anymore. She ran out of the room with anger. "Who does Antonius think he is?" thought Elizabeth. She went into her bedchamber and slammed the door.
