My son, keep my words and store up my commands within you. Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye. 保守在神話語中是何等的不易。尤其是在情慾與罪中之樂的享受，更是讓我們可能妥協的。所以就要將神的話刻在心版上，繫在指頭上，時時警惕自己，神永遠愛我們，卻不喜悅我們在罪中，叫我們遠避淫穢之事。
