My Love & Trust
Camila looked at the king and queen in utter embarrassment. "Who are you and what are you doing in the East Wing?" asked Queen Neptune. Kill me now. Thought Camila. "She is Camila, one of Princess Elizabeth's ladies." said King Apollo sternly. Camila curtseyed to the king and queen and said, "I am sorry, your majesties. I wondered accidentally into your...chambers."
"You know this could make you thrown out of the castle?" asked Neptune. "We do not know if you are telling the truth. You could be executed for trying to kill your majesties." Camila got on her knees and begged the queen to let her off the hook.
"There is no evidence that I tried to kill you, majesties." said Camila beginning to cry. "Please, if you don't kill me for treason I will leave the castle immediately. I wont come anywhere around your family again."
"Say goodbye to everyone you know. For tomorrow when the sun is at its peak, you will be executed." said Neptune with a faint smile. Camila left the room with her head down. The first person that Camila wanted to see before her execution was her dear friend Elizabeth. Even though Elizabeth wouldn't allow her to marry Reynolds, she still wanted what was best for her so Camila still thought her a friend.
Camila went to Elizabeth's chambers and knocked three times. A few moments pasted and Elizabeth opened the door. When she saw it was Camila, she embraced her with a huge hug. "Come in, come in." said Elizabeth waving her in. Camila and Elizabeth sat on the bed and talked about the baby.
"My, the baby is so close to the due date." said Camila. Elizabeth looked down at her belly and rubbed it. "Yeah." she said. "If its a boy, I was thinking about naming him Antonius."
After about an hour, Elizabeth realized she didn't know why Camila was really there. "What brings you to my bedchambers?" asked Elizabeth. "Cant I visit my dearest friend without big news?" asked Camila.
She purposely didn't tell Elizabeth the reason she came. Elizabeth would go into shock knowing that her last friend was about to leave her forever, causing a miscarriage. The last thing that Camila wanted was to have Elizabeth mourn over the death of her unborn baby and her executed friend.
Camila and Elizabeth talked on for some more time and then Camila left. At least Elizabeth's last time with Camila, was happy.
The next person that Camila would like to have some good moments with would be her beloved Lord Reynold. She went to his chambers. She knocked and Lord Reynold answered. "Hello." said Reynold. "I am sorry about what happened in the garden. I didn't mean to make you jealous of Rose."
"I am not angry about that anymore." said Camila. "I forgive you and I hope you forgive me too."
"Of course I do" said Reynold. Then he noticed a tear go down Camila's cheek. "What's wrong?" asked Reynold franticly. He pulled her into the room and sat her down. Camila told Reynold all that had happened to her after she had run from Reynold.
"But why would Queen Neptune want to execute you for something as small as this?" asked Lord Reynold. Camila paced back and forth in the room and said, "I don't know. Why would she want to hurt one of Elizabeth's ladies?"
Queen Neptune really wanted to kill Camila, because she despised her. Do you remember when Lily told Lord Henry about Camila's affair with the king? Well, Lord Henry told Queen Neptune before he left court. She had been neglecting the thought of Camila and the king for sometime. The king had a lot of mistresses. But before Camila arrived at court, he promised Queen Neptune he would only love her not any other woman. So, when she found out about Camila and the king she wanted to kill Camila to cause the king great pain.
Before Camila had come into the room, Queen Neptune had come to the king to set up arrangements for Antonius's and Elizabeth's wedding. King Apollo and Queen Neptune didn't arrange this meet, so it was unexpected. Queen Neptune now has in her mind that Camila was really coming into the king's chambers to meet with the king. Seeing Camila boiled Neptune's blood.
"I cant bear to have you leave me for every." said Lord Reynold to Camila. "I haven't been able to do much with you." Then both Reynold and Camila had an idea. Before she dies, they would secretly get married and run off. So, before Camila dies she at least got to do what she always had wanted to marry her true love.
"This isn't a great plan, Reynold. If the queen catches you, she would kill you." said Camila panicked. Reynold clutched Camila's hands and said, "I would rather die knowing that I did it for you."
Camila left Reynold's chambers later to go back to her own. While Camila slept, Reynold was up making a plan to get Camila to the countryside where she would be safe. Another thing that Lord Reynold nor Camila knew, was that Rose had seen Camila go into Lord Reynold's chambers. She also had heard the plan for them to escape.
What Lord Reynold called innocent dancing, Rose thought was the beginning of a relationship. She thought in her mind that Lord Reynold would leave Camila to be with her. Let me show you what Rosemary thought would happen:
Rosemary would send King Apollo a note that told him to meet her in the Throne Room. When he would arrive, she would tell him of Camila's plans to leave the country to escape execution. She would also tell the king that Camila forced Lord Reynold to go along with the plan. King Apollo would send his men to take Camila back to the castle.
You might be wondering why Rosemary would be so determined to marry Lord Reynold. A number of people, including Rose, thought that Lord Reynold was rich. For his parents were rich and famous. His parents didn't tell people that Lord Reynold lost all the money, they just led people to believe Lord Reynold was rich. Another thing that Rose liked about him was that he was handsome and not that much older than her.
That night, Rosemary sent the message to the king. Everything worked out just the way that she expected it to. Rosemary met with the king, told him of the plans, and the king said he would get back to her. "The plan is officially in motion." said Rosemary to herself.
While all of this was happening, Camila and Lord Reynold packed all of their things for the trip. Lord Reynold had already gotten the carriage that they were going to take to the countryside.
