The place was so quiet and a lot of people were staring at me. I overheard some women whispering about why I was with Dante and some calling me his whore. I wanted to slap the brunette girl who kept sending me dirty looks but I ignored her.
On the bright side, Aurora was with me the whole time keeping me company.
“What kind of party is this?” she whined. “Dante always keeps bringing me here.”
“Why?” she sighed then explained.
“It’s an event that happens every year and since Dante owns a very respected mafia, we have to come to show respect to the other mafia’s.” I kept looking at her because I still didn’t understand why she was here.
“I’m his sister.” I stared with wide eyes. They looked nothing alike.
“I never thought that.” she shrugged.
“Quick question. Have many mafia’s will be here?”
“All of them.”
That means ……… No freaking way. I turned to my side and saw Lorenzo staring at me with a smirk on his face.
He was gonna do something stupid.
“Come on, let's go back to Dante. I don’t like all these people staring at me.” I nodded, still looking at Lorenzo then left.
“What is he doing now?” We were currently standing beside Dante while he was talking to someone in another foreign language paying no attention to us.
I could tell Aurora was about to lose her shit but kept cool.
She tugged on Dante’s shirt and he glared at her. She frowned but kept on bothering him.
From the corner of my eye, I could see Lorenzo talking to some guards looking real suspicious. I excused myself and told Aurora that I was going to the bathroom.
Walking to the direction of the bathroom and got into a stall. I opened the window and jumped down landing on the dress. I tiptoed to the end of the building and saw some of Lorenzo’s men with guns in their hands. They took positions in different areas of the building and I knew that Lorenzo had planned to kill everyone inside of the building. I ran to the other end trying to find anything that could cause a distraction. I kept walking, moving to different places and saw a guard talking to Lorenzo.
“Make sure to alert the others in your area when it is time.”
“Yes sir.”
Lorenzo left and the guard walked back to his position.
I took a huge stick I found on the floor and sneaked up on him. I hit it hard enough on the back of his head to give him a concussion but not kill him. When he tried to yell, I hit his head again with my foot knocking him unconscious. I threw the stick away and started searching for his radio with my eyes because I knew is I touched him, Lorenzo will find my prints. In a split second, I heard screaming from inside the building and gunshots.
“Shit” I muttered. I wanted to grab his gun but knowing I didn’t have the guts to kill someone, I took a white cloth hanging from his pants and wrapped it around my hand before grabbing his taser and pistol. I ran inside and found women screaming and running in panic with the men shooting each other. The lights were dim so no one could really see anything that much. I rushed in to the hall where the chaos was coming from and started hitting Lorenzo’s men. I used the gun to hit the back of their heads and the taser did its task.
I went on this for 5 minutes then heard my name.
“Hannah, Hannah.” I looked around searching for the source and saw Aurora shouting with Dante trying to get her out of the building. I threw my weapons and started running to her. “Where were you?” Aurora said crying
“In the bathroom but then I heard screaming and I hid somewhere.”
I lied smoothly.
“I heard you calling me so I came quickly.”
“Come on girls, we have to go.” Matteo said.
We kept running while Matteo was shooting anyone that got in the way.
We got into the car and Matteo hit the gas hard.
“Wait, what aboutDante?” Aurora said with tears in her eyes.
“He will be fine, trust him.”
I kept comforting her when I felt the pain in my leg again.
“Argh” I touched my thigh then looked at my hand and I froze.
“Oh my God, Oh my God. Blood, blood.” Aurora panicked. Slowly, the pain started kicking probably from too much running.
“Let’s get back.”

When we arrived at the mansion, Matteo picked me up bridal style and took me to my room. There was already a doctor waiting for me.
After an hour of screaming, the torture was finally over. The doctor gave me some pain killers and prescribed some medicine for the pain.
After a while, I felt really dizzy and drifted into the darkness.
