Kenji ran, ran as fast as he could so he could be far away as possible from his now-angry best friend and it obviously wasn't his fault, wait no maybe it was but it wasn't even that big of a joke, she didn't need to be so worked up like that. As he sprints through the halls, through the classrooms, he suddenly bumped into someone, making both him and the person fell backwards.
"Ah I'm sorry-" Kenji scratched the back of his head, looking at the victim of his misbehavior.
"Tch"
Kenji paused
"Tch?" He thought
"Is it so hard for kids like you to remember there is a school rule says not to RUN IN THE HALL?" The person grumbled as he stressed out the last 3 words.
Kenji formed a confusing face, he couldn't comprehend the reaction of the person in front him. Does he have to be THAT harsh towards just a bump? Sure Kenji guess they're just having a bad day, but even so, he already said sorry. Kenji took in a deep breath, then he stood up, walked towards the person he bumped in. He raised one of his hand forward.
"Here, stand up"
Not much to his surprise, the person snapped away the offered hand, standing up by themself
"I don't want to touch hand with a disrespectful student like you"
Kenji uncomfortably stood still, he didn't do anything. Normally he would have just ran towards them and gave that person a lesson but now his brain is alarming him to not do that. In the inside, his heart was beating questionably fast.
Midori stood as if she was frozen in place, she couldn't say anything, she doesn't know what to say. Like what would YOU do if your crush is standing right in front of you and especially currently talking to you now? Maybe some would just talk naturally or even flirt with them, but that's not the case for an introvert, social anxious person like Midori.
"Um...moshi moshi?" The beautiful senior waved her hand up and down "Are you ok?"
The embarrassed purple haired girl didn't respond.
Just when the concerned senior decide to come closer, the purple haired girl finally spoke whilst backing away
"A! I'm fine I'm fine!"
The angel senpai half-heartedly giggled "You don't have to be that afraid, I'm not gonna do anything to you."
"Uh no it's nothing lik-"
"Midori Arisugawa right?"
"Eh?"
"It's on your name tag" The pink haired-girl points at Midori's name tag which is oddly placed on the left side of her buttoned shirt
Midori flushes.
"That's a nice name" The angel senpai smiled, pulling her right hand forward "My name is Ayame Kimura, nice to meet you"
Midori stopped for a moment, she then realize she is getting greet by the angel senpai.
"Um yes! Oh uh my name is Midori Arisugawa but you already know it so-" Midori awkwardly introduced herself
"Haha, no need to get all tense up" Ayame chuckled, "Why are you standing in front of the staircase anyway?"
"I-It's nothing to worry about, u-um...I think I have to go now so uh- see you!" Midori waved her hand as she ran down the hallway as fast as possible.
Ayame stood there until the small figure of Midori faded down the hallway, she giggled, thinking to herself "What a funny girl"
Dawn is approaching. As the sky began changing it's color into a mixture of orange and brown, the school starts to go empty as the students each went back to their house. Kenji, a young high school student who is currently standing at the front school gate waiting for his friend, glancing back inside the school field until he spotted the familiar purple short-haired girl. The girl ran through the school gate and stop in front of Kenji, she breath heavily as she drops her head down, sweats pouring down from the tip of her hair. Her face looks like she just cried from embarrassment.
"Let me guess, mission failed" Kenji mocked as he looks down on his friend
"More like extremely miserably failed because my dear brain didn't want obey it's owner command and decide to run away after can't even spoke out proper greetings." Midori angrily groaned as she punches on the gate's pillar next to her.
"Welp, at least you're better than me today" Kenji sighed, laying his head back which he uses both of his arm as a supporting pillow
"And why is that?"
"I met a fucking serious short-tempered nerdy looking guy" Kenji recall while his gaze locked up on the sky "No not met, more like I bumped into him"
"If you're gonna say bullshits like it's not my fault then quit it because that's definitely your fault"
"Shut up and let me finish" Kenji annoyingly glanced at his friend before looking up at the sky again.
The boy told his friend everything that happened earlier.
"So basically...you hold a grudge against a guy who you is definitely the reason why they act like that, no?" Midori confirmed after hearing Kenji's story
Kenji paused for a thoughtful moment, then he answers, "I mean I don't exactly hate him but like...ugh how should I describe it-"
"Save it for tomorrow. I got a text from my mom I gotta go bye!" The purple haired girl stopped her friend mid-way before running faster than the speed of light in the opposite direction of where Kenji's house is.
"Oh ok" Kenji turned back and then proceed to shout as the figure of Midori starts to go out of his sight "See you tomorrow!"
"How can she run so fast?" Kenji baffled after there was no sign left of his friend remains.294Please respect copyright.PENANANs07qwxc8r
