The lady pointed at Eryth. "That one is strong, he's still trying to fight it."
"You poisoned them?"
"No, that's boring, and all Rune act users are resistant to poison, so no… I simply just trapped them in their mind, to them, they are probably on their way to wherever you guys were off to, it's a very interesting ability you get from reading the Tome of Discordia."
Danila was raging and it could be seen as she spoke boldly. "So all that about your husband and son was a lie?"
The lady broke into a hysterical laugh. "You believed it? You really thought I had a Demigod husband?" She extended her hand and sighed. "The moment you walked into this forest, you entered my domain."
A strong wind blew all around, destroying the cabin to create a large space around them. Danila looked around to see the storm had disappeared with only drops of water pouring from the sky.
"You think a Demi-god could defeat me? I am of the strongest Chaos god and I shall regain my true strength and return to Hecahiyk and rally against the OR-DER, now…"
"Die…" the raindrops suddenly stopped and Frostholm appeared behind Danila. She raised her hand and a sword appeared in it which she used to strike the Fairy.
Danila tried to dodge but still got cut in the back by the blade. She crashed to the ground, barely managing to drag herself up again.
Frostholm laughed hysterically while aiming her long sword at her opponent. "The audacity you have walking into this forest after the warning you saw, after what your kind did you me."
"If that Hex guy hadn't murdered you all already, I would have hunted down every last one of the Fae. But no matter, you are here now… I will rip you apart slowly so that your goddess can watch you scream."
Danila let out a scream as her opponent pulled out her sword from her abdomen. The young fairy didn't see as her opponent stepped towards her or as she drove her sword in. Danila staggered backwards, trying to get away from the Shadow Fae.
Frostholm's sword disappeared and she moved to control the blood that spilled from when she stabbed the pink-haired girl. She turned the blood into multiple spikes and shot it at the fairy, throwing her back into the ground in front of Eryth who was still seated motionless on the ground.
The pink-haired girl coughed out blood as she dragged herself to hold Eryth's hand. "H-elp… me."
"You are pathetic, unbelievably pathetic." She outstretched her hand and her sword appeared in it again. "But don't worry, I'll end it now."
Frostholm raised her sword to strike down the already bloodied fairy. But just as her sword was about to meet her target, the ground rumbled and split open, shooting out rocks and boulders that forced the ice-blue-eyed woman back.
She managed to regain her balance and looked up, only to end up face-to-face with a hooded figure. All Danila could see as she looked up was a figure whose body was covered with a dark completely ragged hooded cloak covering it's entire body.
The figure exuded so much chaos energy that it clouded everything else in the fairy's view.
Frostholm took a step back, trying hard to maintain an emotionless face. "Theotriks," she muttered. "How is a Fae summoning you?"
The figure doesn't reply or move. It remained standing, staring intensely at the Shadow Fae.
"I know your ways, I know you need me to be scared before you can act, isn't that right, Eater of emotions?"
Without saying a word, the being raised its hand and a huge axe appeared in it. Frostholm gasped and quickly jumped back, creating space between them, but just as she stopped, a rusty spike burst out of the ice-blue-eyed woman's leg, forcing her down to the ground.
She grabbed her leg and screamed then immediately covered her mouth, but it was too late. Another spike burst out from her shoulder, spilling blood all around.
The being stepped closer and moved its face closer to the Fairy. "You've lost… so much energy… it's easy to use it on you," its voice came out like an echo all around her.
Frostholm tried hard to keep a straight face but the pain from the spikes made her continue to wince in pain. "There is it, show me your true emotions, show me how you feel."
The bright white haired lady groaned and lunged her sword at Theotriks but it simply took a step back. Her groan turned into a raging scream as she dragged herself up. "How dare you! I am Frostholm, the only soul strong enough to read the Tome of Discordia and still be alive!" The sky turned dark and lightning began to strike every place, strong wind blew all around and lava began to erupt from the ground. "I am the strongest Chaos being in all the realms, I will kill you all!" Her feet left the ground and she began to float in the sky.
Her ice-blue eyes turned completely red with a unique marking appearing all over her body. A long black horn emerged from her forehead followed by large dark wings in her back. She outstretched her hands and multiple fireballs appeared all around her.
Eryth, Syrie and Blutox gasped and regained their consciousness at the same moment. "What the hell is happening?" The dark brown-haired man looked around to see the Shadow Fae in the sky and the being, Theotriks below her. He turned to see Danila on the ground, holding the necklace given to her by the midwife.
He quickly moved and picked her in his arms before racing in the opposite direction. "Come on guys, get out of the way!"
The other two also got up and followed behind Eryth.
Frostholm laughed out maniacally and rained down the fireballs at her target but they all simply passed through the being and exploded on contact with the ground, none hitting its target.
Her eyes widened in shock. "What… what just happened?"
"So much emotions, so much fear, yet very little energy to protect yourself from what's to come next."
Another spike burst out of the fairy's chest, causing her to crash to the ground with a thud. The sky cleared and the lightning stopped, leaving the Shadow fairy to transform back to her normal form, gasping as her body began to turn to ashes.
"What the hell is that?" Eryth asked but Syrie and Blutox were just as shocked and confused as he was.
[Th…eotriks…] the injured pinked-haired girl managed to speak.
"Theotriks? As in the eater of emotions?" He looked up to take in the look of the being again only to find the being's head directly in front of him.
Every possible emotion disappeared from their faces as they stood in the presence of the eater of emotions. Eryth was staring directly into the hood but couldn't see any face within. The being let out a soft grunt and extended its skeleton hand that was engulfed with dark smoke.
Danila who was lying on Eryth's lap dragged herself up and placed the necklace on its hand. The being inched backwards before disappearing into the air.
The dark brown-haired man let out a hefty sigh as the being disappeared. He looked back to see Syrie and Blutox still alive before turning back to Danila. She placed her hands on Eryth's cheek and smiled. "Hey," she muttered.
"Yeah hey, did you use the necklace to summon Theotriks?"
She nodded.
"Really? Of all the gods to summon, you chose a Chaos god and Theotriks at that? Splendid, just hope it didn't ask for anything in return."
"Just the necklace."
A very small round bright light, not bigger than an individual's clenched fist popped out of one of the many trees around and flew towards the four.
"Maleficent?" Danila said, her eyes widening in shock.
The thing hovered around her for a moment before flying into her chest. Danila let out a very loud exhale before jumping on her feet with a bright smile on her face. "Oh my! oh my!" She cheered.
"What? Who's Maleficent?" Eryth queried.
"She's the Fae goddess! She just granted me her life essence! The Fae goddess resides within me!" She jumped and threw herself on Eryth, hugging him tightly. Her eyes widened for a moment as a shock went down her spine.
"Eryth," she mumbled so quietly the said name couldn't pick it up. She then pulled back and wore a smile.
The dark brown-haired man furrowed. "So, you are the Fae goddess?"
Danila stopped and shook her head. "No?" She said. Then shoot him a cute smile. "I mean, yeah, maybe?"
"I have the energy and lifespan of the goddess herself, so that is it, yes?…" her words trailed off as she locked eyes with Blutox and Syrie standing behind him.
"Hi, Syrie, Blue," she greeted.
The Blue Kanrei gave her a nod while Syrie waved with a smile. Eryth moved to the ashes of the dead Shadow Fae that was killed by the Eater of Emotions. "So she's dead?" He asked.
Danila shook her head no. "Don't you know, when a god dies outside their domain or abode in the High realm or the Hecahiyk their soul returns to their abode…"
"And their energy disappears for a few lifetimes, rendering them powerless, I know this. I thought she was merely a fairy and it was just words that she was a Chaos goddess."
"She is… the only being that didn't get overwhelmed after touching the Tome of Discordia."
Eryth sighed and pulled the fairy to him by the waste before walking forward. "Alright people, let's move before our friend turns pale."
Danila's cheeks turned red as she felt the dark brown-haired man's hand around her waist.
