I just came from meeting the person who ruined my life. Lorenzo Agosti. The only reason I work for him is because I need to save my family from starvation and death. I still can’t believe my own father sold me to that man to clear his debts. Now, I'm just a ploy for Lorenzo’s evil plots.
When I was little, dad always abused mom. When I grew older, he started to abuse me too. Because of this, I had to learn martial arts and now, I am a pro and my skills are higher than the black belt itself. Because of my skills, I have to work for Lorenzo to defend him from enemies I am unaware of in order to protect my family and pay off the debts my dad owes and the bills too. No one knows about my whereabouts except my two best friends. Kevin and Richard. Kevin is 5 years older than me while Richard is 6 years older than me. I always wear a mask to keep my identity hidden. One to go out and the other for my mission at night.
I applied for a job to work as a maid at Agost Enterprises. I start my new job tomorrow and I hope it is worth it. I came back to reality when I heard running.
“Mama, my mama” Julie jumped into my arms.
I spun her around planting kisses on her face as she giggled.
“My baby.” “How are you?” I cooed
She smiled
That beautiful smile.
“Baby” she looks at me “Where’s Grandma” she points at the backyard.
I set her on the floor once I got into mom’s garden.
“Mom” she turned around
“Hey honey” she gives me a hug “Where have you been, you always seem to disappear.”
Of course I never told mom about Lorenzo. Although I feel guilty for not telling her, I can't say anything.
“It’s nothing. Just really busy ""I actually applied for a job.” I laugh
“And when did that happen”
“Yesterday”
“Did you get it”
“Yes”
“Oh my gosh honey that’s great.” she squealed. “You don’t seem too excited about it.”
“What about Julie? I won’t be able to take care of her.” I glanced at Julie who was busy sweet talking to flowers then glanced back at mom.
“I’m here okay, don’t worry about it.” she cups my cheeks
“But you need to rest, the doctor said you shouldn’t stress yourself out.”
“Don’t worry about me, worry about yourself. You work too hard to take care of bills that you barely have time to take care of yourself. It’s the least I can do for you and besides, what are grandparents for.” I chuckle at her statement. “You’re an adult teen and you need to live your life. Didn’t you always say that you want to be a singer?”
“I know but that was before everything. I can’t possibly be-”
“Don’t you dare, young lady. Don’t degrade yourself like that.” she sighed, “What do i always tell you.”
“You can be anything as long as you work hard for it.”
“Exactly. Now I don't want you talking bad about yourself ever okay.”
“Okay” she placed a kiss on my forehead.
“Come on, let's go inside.” “Julie” she ran to mom and we went inside.

First day of work or more of an interview. Kevin insisted on picking me up even though I didn’t want him to, he insisted.
“When you’re done call me okay.” he kissed my cheek
“Okay” he waited for me to walk into the building then sped off.
The house was a mansion but I wasn't really surprised because I am used to seeing houses like this.
I was walking around the house trying to find an entrance when I saw a very handsome man. He looked 6’2 and really rich. He was walking into the mansion so I decided to ask for directions.
“Excuse me sir.” he turns around. “Who are you and how did you get in here?” he raised his voice.
“The security let me in. I’m here for an interview.”
“You must be the new intern.” his voice calmed and his face cold.

“Follow me.”
As we walked, I noticed that there were a lot of men around every inch of the house all dressed in black. Probably work for some gang or something.
The inside was just like I expected. The living room had different abstract artwork and was well furnished. The kitchen was sparkling and the house was silent even though there were over 50 people here.
The unknown man knocked on a door and there was a faint come in. He walked in and I was staring at the most beautiful man on the planet. He had dark brown short hair, muscles that fit in the right places, A sharp jawline, blue dazzling eyes and everything about him screamed money and power. He was sculpted by God himself.
My senses came back when his deep voice echoed in the room. Hot!!!
I sat down on the chair in front of his desk and he sat behind it.
This suddenly felt like an interrogation instead of an interview. He stared at me intently. I thought he could see my face through the mask but I managed to keep my calm. I passed him my resume and watched as he scrolled through it.
“You’re hired.” His voice is void of emotions.
“Excuse me?” It has only been 2 minutes since I arrived and I’m hired.
“One of our maids left and it will be useless trying to find a new one when I have one right in front of me. You may leave now. Work starts tomorrow at 9:00am .Be early, I hate tardiness.
