After unpacking my things and talking to Hong Goo for a little bit more, the rest of the contestants arrived and I was able to meet them along with Hong Goo. There was Ma Hae Dong who seemed like a pretty okay guy, Yeo Baek Hyun who was a bit on the nerdy side and Choi Shi On who was pretty childish, but despite all of the guys having completely different personalities from each other, they were all okay and I can see myself living with them and possibly becoming friends with them, including Hong Goo.
All five of us sat and got to know each other a little bit before we had to get ready to head out to the restaurant where we'll be officially meeting the manager of the contest and Starry themselves. My outfit of the night was mostly casual, but not too casual since I didn't want to come off like I didn't care about meeting Starry, but I also didn't want to seem too uptight and go too formal so I decided on wearing a plain black button up shirt with black skinny jeans and some nice shoes I had. Hong Goo also dressed up pretty nicely and so did the other guys. Hae Dong was also wearing a button up shirt with a different color, Baek Hyun was wearing a sweater over a collared shirt and Shi On was wearing a basic grey shirt with a Pokemon neck tie. I had to admit that the guy's outfit choices were pretty interesting to say the least.
We finally left the penthouse and the escort, which by the way, his name is Jung Hae In, drove us to the restaurant where he said the whole place was reserved by the manager so we can all freely enjoy ourselves and talk to Starry. It made me excited and a bit less nervous about embarrassing myself in front of not only Starry, but also a group of strangers who might or might not see me with the group if I end up getting chosen.
Once we got to the restaurant, we headed inside and that's when the manager, Min Sung Wook met us and took us over to Starry who was already sitting down at a long table on the floor.
"Boys, meet the winners of round 2 and the contestants of the final round." Min Sung Wook told them.
The group greeted us and might I add that they were all incredibly attractive? That's Korean Kpop male groups for you! Each of the six boys stood up and introduced themselves one by one. I nodded along and said hi to them with my competitors, but once it was Song Ji Suk's turn, I felt my heart racing in my chest for some reason. I wasn't sure if it was because I was pretty nervous about meeting the boys, but I decided to go with that for now.
"Hey. It's nice to meet you guys. I'm Song Ji Suk and I'm one of the six members of Starry. I hope to get to know each one of you better over the next six weeks. I look forward to working with you guys."
As Ji Suk gave his introduction, I barely paid attention since I was so focused on him. His gorgeous eyes, his fluffy white hair and not to mention his sexy piercings made him look even more attractive. I didn't think it was possible for someone to be this attractive. Before I knew it, I realized that Ji Suk's eyes landed on me and I quickly pulled my eyes away from him to look around the room while I rubbed the back of my neck nervously. I couldn't tell if it was true, but it looked like Ji Suk smiled and chuckled a bit before sitting back down.
"Contestants, introduce yourselves." Min Sung Wook told us.
I listened as we went down the line until it was my turn and I had an embarrassingly tough time opening up my mouth to say something. It took Hong Goo to nudge me in the side before I was able to move, much less breathe.
I quickly bowed and straighten up before speaking.
"My name is Park Min Joo. I'm eighteen years old and I'm from Florida."
"Ooo~ A foreigner!" I heard one of the boys from Starry say.
I continued on, though.
"Thank you for having me here. I'll do my best and I look forward to working with you guys!"
I avoided looking at Ji Suk in fear I would freeze up again, but even though I couldn't see him, I had a feeling he was staring right at me. Then again, isn't that the point? To be stared at than have people look away from you and be bored of your presence?
Once I finished my speech and we were all done giving introductions, we were all able to finally sit down and enjoy dinner. I let out a huge sigh of relief and relaxed my shoulders. I didn't realize standing there, introducing myself was gonna be that tough. I'm normally not the type to be super nervous or starstruck in front of Idols. If introducing myself to idols was that tough then I worried for how the rest of the six weeks will go.
After we all had a bit of dinner, the manager, Min Sung Wook stood up and tried to grab our attention.
"Listen up! Now that we're all here, I'm going to tell you guys the final requirements of the final round. The first two rounds were all about seeing how you guys could dance and sing and how well you do in front of cameras, but this last test is the most important of all; teamwork. A group can't function without teamwork so what I want the contestants to do is try to get to know the boys. Hang out with them, eat with them, rehearse with them. I don't care what you do. I want you guys to become familiar with Starry and Starry become familiar with you then after the six weeks are up, I'll be asking Starry to vote on who they liked the most so if any of you boys are shy or have a little bit of celebrity starstruck, you better get over it quickly."
I gulped nervously. I wasn't sure how well I can pull off trying to impress not only the entire group, but also Ji Suk especially. I have great dancing and singing skills, but I think my people skills needs a bit more of work.
