Once my plane finally touched down in Korea, I was mega excited and I felt so antsy. I was seriously ready to tackle the world, but of course I kept trying to tell myself to slow down and take it one baby step at a time. First thing on the agenda is that I have to get settled in. The manager who is in charge of the contest and of the well known and hottest Kpop group in Korea, Starry has assigned the five contestants including me to a little penthouse where we'll be staying for the duration of the contest. So yes. That means I'll be living with five other complete strangers who are also pursuing the spot on the Kpop group like me. I would like to say I hope we'll all be able to get along, but....I kinda have a feeling that might not happen, unfortunately. Ah well. A person can dream.
When I got off the plane and collected my luggage, I looked around for the person who will be picking me up. That's when I saw a large white sign that had my name on it and I smiled brightly as I approached the man.
"Hey, I'm Park Min Joon." I introduced myself to the sharply dressed man.
The man held out his hand to me and I shook it.
"Nice to meet you. I'll be escorting you to your new home where you can get settled in and meet the other contestants and then later, you'll be attending a dinner where you'll get to officially meet and introduce yourself to Starry." The man explained.
I could practically feel myself bubbling up with excitement, but I kept a straight face, not wanting to seem too eager to meet my favorite Kpop group.
"So, what made you want to enter the contest?" The escort asked as he drove us down Seoul to my new home for the next six weeks.
I smiled. "That's easy. I've always loved Kpop ever since I was little and I love to sing and dance. When Starry debuted, I followed their journey. I practically have all their music and posters. I guess you can say they gave me the strength to put my passion into a career. Then, when I heard about their current contest, I knew I just had to enter. There was NO way I couldn't. I had some doubts about winning so when I got the email back, I was completely blown away." I explained.
The escort smiled. "I can practically feel your passion radiating off of you. I hope the others will feel it too. Oh. Here we are!"
When we finally arrived at the penthouse, I practically ran inside since I was so eager to see it.
"Wow!"
My eyes lit up as I gazed around the place. It had so much space and it was so clean and organize. I couldn't believe I was gonna be living here in this expensive place. It was crazy! I ran over to the couch and jumped on it.
"Ha!"
"Having fun?" A sudden male voice asked.
I quickly sat up and looked at the stranger.
"Oh...hi. Are you another one of the contestants?" I couldn't help asking the obvious question.
The boy in question smirked then he walked over to me and held out his hand.
"Lee Hong Goo. It's nice to meet you."
I grabbed the guy's hand and shook it. "Park Min Joon."
Hong Goo dropped his hand and shoved it into his pants pocket. "You're lucky to be the second one here. No one else has came yet so hurry up and claim your room."
"Oh...okay!"
I quickly scrambled up and practically ran all over the house until I found the room that was perfect for me. I jumped onto the bed and closed my eyes, smiling to myself.
"I'm in pure bliss~"
"I have a feeling we'll be getting along quite well." Hong Goo suddenly spoke up.
I sat right up and looked over at the door to see him casually standing in the door way, leaning up against the door frame. Hong Goo glanced around the room before his eyes landed on me.
"Nice pick. It suits you."
I glanced around the room and couldn't deny that he was right since the room's color scheme was white and black which is something I'm fond about and I sometimes wished my room back home was like this room.
"Here are your bags, Park Min Joon." The escort said as he brought my bags into the room and set them down.
"Thank you. I should get unpacking."
"I'll leave it to you then. I already finished unpacking myself." Hong Goo said then he left the room with the escort.
I grabbed my bags and started unpacking. As I was unpacking, I couldn't help thinking about how my new life was turning out more and more amazing than I've ever imagined.
