// Sean's P.O.V //
We ate breakfast together, Mark continuously complimented on my skills of cooking. I thanked him and blushed. Once we were finished eating, I took up Mark's plate and headed to the sink. I washed the dishes and emptied the drain of soapy dish water.
"Mark, is it alright that I take a shower?"
"Of course, why do you think you need to ask? What's mine is yours."
I smiled and and got some clean clothes. I hadn't left Ireland because I really wanted to move in with Mark, I needed to get out of there. After confessing to my parents, my father beat me and my mother…left.
I got black jeans and a gray hoodie, as well as black boxers. I felt tears prick in my eyes, but I quickly wiped them away.
Suck it up Sean, you're in control now.
I nodded to myself and headed into the bathroom with a towel. I undressed myself and turned the hot water knob slightly, turning the cold water more. It was slightly warm, but not too cold. I turned the shower head on and set the clothes on the large sink.
I stepped into the shower and sighed as the water hit my back relaxingly. I got shampoo and poured a bit into my hand. I massaged it into my scalp. I hummed and parted my lips, let my voice ring out in a singing tone. I played each word like a melody.
"Pouring the fuel, fanning the flames. Breaking the habit and melting the chains. Embracing the fear, chasing the fight. The glow of the fire will light up the night..~"
I sang rather loudly.
I didn't know Mark was right at the door, listening
"The bridges are burning, the heat's on my face. Making the past an unreachable place! Pouring the fuel, fanning the flames - I know: This is the point of no return…!~"
I blushed darkly hearing a low gravelly chuckle from the door Mark had opened. I froze in place.
"I didn't know you could sing."
He smiled that famous Markiplier smile, I could feel my stomach churning while I was in the clear shower. I turned and saw him leaning at the door frame.
"O-Oh, Mark. Tha-Thank you.."
My face was red.
I never knew I was still crushing on my lover, I always felt worthless
His masculine arms were folded across his chest, revealing his distinct veins and muscles. He knew I was nervous, and he wasn't leaving.
"M-Mark, I'm tak-taking a shower."
"I know."
"Ca-Can you leave s-so I can..?"
"May I join you?"
That saurkel.
He knew I wanted him to join me, he knew all these things. I swallowed hard as the shampoo was rinsing out of my hair.
"N-No."
I lied.
"C'mon, y'know you want me t-"
He cut himself off. He was eyeing my body now. I knew he was concerned because my body was littered in bruises. I trembled as he shut the door and left. Why was he concerned? He's had a rougher time...
It was almost thirty minutes until I got out of the shower. I dried myself with the towel, slipping on my boxers and jeans. I put on my t-shirt and hoodie and walked out of the bathroom, dirty clothes in my hand along with the towel I used. I stared down at the floor while walking up to Mark.
"Where do you want me to put these…?"
I asked rather lowly, humbly if you asked. He didn't respond, he took my clothes in his arms and put them downstairs into the dirty hamper. I sat on the couch, silent and afraid. I pondered why Mark didn't answer.
When he came back into the living room, where I was, I looked up and saw him standing in front of me. His look was stern.
"Who did it..?!"
"E-Excuse me?"
"Who put those nasty bruises all over my baby's precious skin?!"
I looked down at my hands, he truly cared. I didn't know why.
He's just being nice. He's just pitying you. Admit it, you're worthless to him. He's rich and famous, then look at you. A poor humble fellow who just started living with him.
"N-No one…I-I mean, I-I did…"
Stupid! Why do you have to stutter all the time?!
"Sean, tell me."
I shook my head.
"How are we going to be in a healthy relationship if you can't even tell me who hurt you?"
I froze. Was I being selfish, or selfless to even acknowledge myself that I haven't been okay? Maybe another time I'll tell him.
"C-Can I tell you a-another day…? Pl-Please..?"
He sighed and kissed my cheek.
"Okay, just tell me when you're ready. Either way, I'll still love you."
His words calmed me. They were soft and like velvet, his dark brown eyes had gentleness in them. I wrapped my arms around him when he did so to me.
Maybe this can work out...
