Today on Jamal’s cup of tea,
Hunk going Hulk?
We live in a crazy town people. You would think we have seen everything crazy by now. But hold onto your horses. It’s the BullTown's very own heartthrob, rumour has it that he is back in town and stirring up trouble. He was spotted in the Bull Town Annual Ball, throwing napkins at his closest friend.
Now people are wondering, if Amy fell, upon seeing his pretty face. Wouldn’t be the first time would it?
Stay tuned for more hot tea.

Bravado
I stop short. My anger turning into panic as I recognize the person stepping out of the car.
I curse at my foolish brain, my driver Ken bless his soul must have recognized the car and tried warning me. But as if to honor the city I live in I was being a bull, just charging into situations without thinking.
I clench my fists and spin back, hurrying towards my car. Ken seeks the look on my face, his eyes clear with the question.
I nod and he sprints to start up the car.
Hurried footsteps from behind make me speed up my pace. I was not going to let him get to me.
“Amy” his voice gets louder as he nears me. But I ignore him, I square my shoulders and focus on closing the distance between me and my car.
“Amy hey hey” Instead I feel him closing on me.
“Ken” I shout “do you plan on camping here?” Ken hears me and starts the car.
“Amy come on” I hear from behind me, his hand grabbing my arm. I pull my hand free and turn to give him a piece of my mind.
“Please let’s talk” instead he pleads, his face grave and serious. I give him a look, and hardly recognize his face.
It’s a wonder what a couple months could do to a person. I have been looking at him since we were thirteen, but never had he felt more of a stranger to me than now. He meets my eyes, and for a second it’s like looking into mine. Our eyes reflecting our shared pain, guilt and loneliness.
And I linger a second, my hopes building up with every passing second. The familiarity of him and the memories of a happier life, haunting me. I pray for the harsh bells of reality to ring loud and wake me up from this trance.
“Amy we are running late” Ken startles me. The connection is broken, dragging me back to the reality.
I pull my hand away from him, turn around and walk back to the car.
With my head held high, I get in and close my eyes.
Walk on all over me
Crush my beating heart,
Leave me, bleeding your love
Walk on all over me
The song doesn’t help our mood. Today was a disaster, I was late to the shoot, and if it wasn’t Mr. Hot Wheels wasting my time, I would have gotten there earlier. I wanted to tell the girls about him. But Terry’s big blue bruise stopped me from doing that. We still don’t know what exactly happened, and when asked she refused to talk about it. She was hurt, and sat in a corner watching some Spanish Telenovela on her phone. The news of T’s fight has gone viral along with my un-graceful fall and ever since that, the trolls were unstoppable.
I couldn’t exactly tell Naina either, and honestly I was hurt that she didn’t mention to either me or T, that her brother was back in town spinning in his newest car. All day long I tried to read her face, looking for any signs which revealed something. But she looked the same and acted the same. Which weirded me out.
The Patel siblings are not the kind to stay indifferent towards each other. The correct reaction from Naina would be something along her screaming and jumping and hugging us in excitement that her ‘bhai’ is back.
Now on our way back, I stared at her trying to get T to play a quick game of ‘Hunters for hire’.
Disappointed I stared out the window and closed my eyes, my mind full of regrets and questions.
When I reached my mansion, Ken woke me up and I was surprised to see that T still remained in the car.
I looked at her expecting her to say something. But she just stared out of the car towards nothing in particular.
Scared I touched her shoulder and nudged her. She immediately fell on my shoulder, hiding her face with her arm.
“Can I stay here tonight?” she asked her voice rattling. I patted her back and replied “Of course”.
Getting out of the car I give her a quick hug and lead the way to the front door.
While I fish for the keys. I spy from the corner of my eye, T gloomily eyeing the forgotten front yard, a place where she often used to beat the boys in a game of ball; now home to all kinds of bugs and weeds.
I sigh and open the door, the sound grabs her attention and she follows me in.
I move to turn the lights on but T keeps walking despite the dark.
“You mind if I use the bathroom?” she asks not turning back. Her voice echoes in the empty hall.
“No go ahead” I answer her, and wait for her to get into the guest bedroom before flicking on the lights.
I lock the door and head to my room.
I know T and I know her moods, and I also know that she would secretly cry in the bathroom.
I hit the shower and quickly change into my comfortable pjs. I fall on my bed and turn on the TV, secretly praying to all the gods I know, to let me and my girls off the hook.
It's then I see,
“The hunk going hulk!” I read my jaw dropping and turn up the volume.
“Well well Bull Town look who is back in town! Everyone keep an eye out for Senor Patel who decided to comeback after his two month isolation. He was seen furiously throwing napkins at some of his closest friends in the Bull Town annual ball. Does this make him any less attractive? Nope! We wonder what could be in the racer’s mind when he was___”
Who knew! The gods do hear my prayers.
