Khem snapped hsi fingers.
"I agreed. I've seen many crime series and thought it would be cool if the police department had a special divisions like what was in criminal minds under FBI."187Please respect copyright.PENANAJI4fVP7694
"But this isn't a movie or series. We didn't do just superficial work. We must catch the real criminal to face the consequence , not just a scape goat. I hope everybody will take this job seriously , not just for fun."
Adjima made her statement to Khem while Khem responded with a sheepish smile and kept his mouth shut since then. Adjima adopted a resolute expression and carried on.
"To work with me , there are three ground rules you must comply with. First , we're all about teamwork. No solo flights or self centered actions. Do put the team first. Second , listen to your commander. Whatever i order , you must follow. There is no room for rebellion , or you will find a suspension notice lands right on your desk. Third , keep personal issues out of the workplace. I'm counting on everyone to stick to these rules."
To work together , there should have been rules for collaboration. As far as Adjima could see , these six men , including her younger brother , had distinct characteristics from one another. Yai was hot tempered and straightforward. Tarn was calm but vulnerable. Khem was fun and smiley. Thonghtai was quiet and still , which was different from Phaya , who seemed quiet and still as well , but he had a hint of slyness lurking under those piercing eyes. Meanwhile , Singh , her beloved little brother , was like a three year old kid compared to the rest. Even though they were different and seemed hard to handle , Adjima was confident that these men possessed outstanding talent and a sense of responsibility to carry out the operation. That's why she chose them for her team and crossed her fingers , hoping they wouldn't disappoint her.
"Well , our first task here is the brutal murder of a rapist case. What's your opinion after hearing the suspect's statement?"
In fact , Adjima wasn't sure if it was the proper term to call her suspect. There was no evidence. Furthermore , this woman claimed she murdered him due to coercion. This mean that the actual murderer might not be her. Adjima glanced at Singh , signaling him to stand up and share his opinion.
Singh rose to his feet , turned off the projector , and flipped the whiteboard to its other side , revealing numerous pieces of information linking to one another , from the first case until the latest one.
"Based on Khun Meena's statement , everything she detailed accurately aligned with the observed condition of the victim deceased's body. This includes whip marks , the tongue and hands severed , burns from the candle wax , burns on pubic hair ,a partial cut on the sexual organ , and a gunshot wound to the forehead. According to the bullet hole , it was potentially caused by a fire arm with a 9 mm caliber. However , we haven't found that bullet in the victim's head. The killer possibly took it away..."
The group held still listening while inhaling deeply. Such a ruthless , outrageous act sent chills down their spines.
"Khun Meena told us that on the night she was walking home , the victim dragged her into the tall grasses on the side street. Just as she was about to be abused a man stepped in and saved her. She thought she was free from the danger , but it turned out that she was forced to inhale chloroform , by that man and later awoke in an unknown basement." 187Please respect copyright.PENANA9ZyD99H5F5
"What about the victim...?" Asked Yai.187Please respect copyright.PENANA1qd2eSlyoS
"He was chloroformed , too."187Please respect copyright.PENANAgnAxiFkRBy
"So , it means , that this man chloroformed the victim first and then chloroformed the women?"
Singh nodded to Yai.
"Yes and she told us that the mystery man gradually forced her to torture the rapist , who was leashed to the chair with a big chain."
Tarn had a doubt.
"What if she didn't do it?"187Please respect copyright.PENANAoKCexm0U0S
"She would be starved of food and water. She didn't do it at first , but as time went by , to be locked up with that rapist in the basement with no clothes . Even though he couldn't do anything to her , she was still scared..."
Tarn swallowed a big gulf of saliva. What kind of case was they running into? So sickeningly psychotic.
"And the rest is history. She started torturing the rapist , just like he'd ordered her to. Meanwhile , he fueled her to. Meanwhile , he fueled her with rage toward the victim and goaded her to throw all the rage toward the victim. The victim wasn't allowed to die even though he wanted to..."187Please respect copyright.PENANAXydW7wNvAU
"How could we be sure that what she said is true? Doesn't it sound too melodramatic? What kind of a madman will catch the victim and a woman to do such a thing?" Khem opposed. The more he listened to it , the more theatrical it seemed.187Please respect copyright.PENANAuXFnbfulwF
"But i think she didn't lie...During the interrogation , she didn't flinch her gaze from Singh at all. When we provoked her within imitating question, she stood her ground on the answer , but with different words , unlike those who were recited to speak , so what she said could be true."
Tarn shared his lengthy thoughts. People reacting like Meena couldn't really be deceiving.
"But...."187Please respect copyright.PENANAkRsMgaJPe1
"Alright...."
She interrupted before Khem and Tarn would prolong their disagreement
"....Whether what she said is true or false , we can't prove anything just yet. We can only make assumptions based on the evidence we have."187Please respect copyright.PENANAiZ8MFfInIM
"And the evidence we have is the victim. The killer's work is very neat...He didn't leave any trace at all." Singh said.
The deceased. body just came out of the blue. The secondary crime scene 2 was desolate and had no CCTV.
"The trace he left behind was the abuse through the victim's body..." Adjima explained "Two former victims also were sexual offender or either sexual killer , including the third victim...."
Phaya said.
"That means he had a feud with the rapist. So she killed as to vent his feud...."187Please respect copyright.PENANA1pKUA9bo7Q
"Yes...So you first assignment here is to separate into teams to interview those who were sexually abused by these three...."187Please respect copyright.PENANAxhNu1ADhdM
"According to these three victims's criminal histories , the first victim had committed crime two times , the second three times , the third one time..."
Thongthai faced up to tell everyone. Singh stared at the white board before writing his assumption from his analysis , then turned around to tell everyone.
"Assuming from how he took care of the body , no finger prints found , no witness , no evidence , he worked as if he was some sort of an expert...."
Phaya narrowed his eyes and rad the text that Singh had written.
-No fingerprints.
-The dead body was cleaned , moved from the primary crime scene.
-No oral evidence or material evidence.
Adjima opposed
"Don't jump to conclusions yet. There is still much more information missing. IF we are to quick to judge , we might miss some significant points. Tomorrow , i wan everyone to be on time at the office. That's all for today..." 187Please respect copyright.PENANA7pOhhimsCc
"Phi , but..."187Please respect copyright.PENANAVOgpZz85ly
"Enough for today , Singh , and for everyone , too. Get some rest."
Adjima insisted with a firm , stern voice. The group stood up and saluted to her before twirling around to collect the file cases , placing them on each of their desks , turning off the light , and leaving the conference room
