Kamolwipak's House
Just when Phaya reached home , he asked his maid whether his khun ya had already returned home from the temple. Once he knew his khun ya was in the cottage , he headed to see her instantly. Phaya walked up the wooden stairs that. creaked the sound , causing the grandma's close maid to see who it was. After the maid realized it was him. She stepped aside to let him in.
"Khun Ya."
Phaya called his elderly with a sweet voice , tightly holding her figure that arched from her age before with drawing a little. He kissed her on the cheek as he profoundly missed and longed for her presence.
"Oh , little boy! You only grow up on the outside." That tender , raspy voice complained softly.287Please respect copyright.PENANAaEzQ3R6fXI

"Sweet talk , my boy."
Phaya curled up a smile while embracing his khun ya even more tightly. The elderly looked at her grandson , who was snuggling into her chest. She patted on that shoulder to comfort him.
"Is there anything troubling you? Is it about work?"
Usually , Phaya loved to meet a senior person like her in the lodge for a place to calm himself from the nightmare , or did he have it again? That incident had happened more than ten years ago. Moreover , she constantly made merit and prayed for her grandson , so why didn't he get over it?
"It's not about work."287Please respect copyright.PENANA5QcgoUFr6b
"About that thing again?"
Phaya drew back from his grandma and nodded.
"I had the nightmare again. It was more intense and more realistic each day." 287Please respect copyright.PENANAzW72ByBUTh
"Phaya...You didn't tell your mae about it?"
He shook his head.
"I don't want Mae to worry about me."
Khun Ya let out a long sigh. What was she supposed to do to set his grandson free from this nightmare?
"But Khun ya doesn't have to worry. I have the solution now."287Please respect copyright.PENANAL22B9hSolK
"What solution , hmmm?"
Phaya held her wrinkled , soft hand and placed oit on his lap.
"Do you remember Tarn , a friend who had his training with me on Koh Phra island i told you about?"
The granny put on a thoughtful face for a second and then nodded.
"Yes , i can. He was your rescuer at the time you drowned in the Mekong river and gave you a Phra Rod necklace , right?"
Phaya nodded with a smile
"He also took me to see his Luang Pu and iasked Luang Pu about my nightmare."
Khun Ya Ratee's eyes twinkled. Her face showed contentment and excitement.
"What did Luang Pu say , Phaya?"287Please respect copyright.PENANAq9dMVO9P8D
"He said if i practice meditation every day , it might help me get it over with."
Phaya partially told his Khun Ya as he didn't want her to worry ,s o this was all he chose to let her know to ask about meditation.
"There it goes. I've thought of it a long time ago , but it's you who didn't follow."
Phaya laughed.
"I was very young back then. I couldn't control myself very well."
And he also did his high school abroad , making him a rebellious kid and hyperactive
"So , you are here to see me because you want to practice meditation?"287Please respect copyright.PENANAzztvAwSU4l
"Yes."
Khun Ya Ratee laid her eyes on her grandson and smiled empathetically.
"I'll go pick up the book for you. Try practicing it in on your own room."287Please respect copyright.PENANAUbDCy8wWmw
"Yes."
After receiving four to five Dhamma , meditative , and prayer books , Phaya sustained hsi conversation with his khun ya for a little longer before returning to his own room. He took a shower and tried reading the books that his khun ya had handed him. He read three chapters , then closed the book to practice what the book told him to do , which was chanting prayers and meditating. He did as much as he could before collapsing himself onto the bed and falling asleep at the end.
He dreamed again?
Phaya swept his gaze and saw the stalactite and stalagmite everywhere. This was a vast cave with transparent bubbles floating around him. He stretched out to plunge a bubble ahead , but his finger could go through it. He motionlessly startled , stretched out and plunged a bubble one more time , and his finger could pierce through it again. What was going on?
"That is just an illusion that i created in your dream."
That pleasantly melodic , easy on the ear voice told him. Phaya twirled around in the direction of the voice , his eyes slightly widening when he saw a woman dressed in traditional Thai attire. She wore a green cloth covering her breasts , a brown skirt , and sinuous golden accessories draping her wrists , arms , and neck resembling snakes. Her oval shaped face and flawless skin featured a prominent nose and delicate pink lips revealing perfectly aligned white teeth. Her shimmering , round , small eyes were fixed on him. She was as angelic as a literary lady.
"You..."287Please respect copyright.PENANAY2lDU5nst9
"We finally met , Khun Noppharuj."287Please respect copyright.PENANAdcH5L9nvGV
"Noppharuj?"
Who? Whose name? Why did it sound so familiar? But he couldn't recall as hard as he tried. The mysterious lady's expression grew earnest and steadfast.
"We're on borrowed time before he comes back. I can only meet you for only a short period."
Phaya was lost and looked at her with perplexity. She soon uttered.
"My name is Vanvisa , Vassarat's older sister..."
Vassa...Vassarat...This name also rang a bell
Vanvisa wa well aware that Phaya was confused , but she didn't ahve much time to talk. She hurriedly kept going.
"Please don't rush to conclusions about her actions to you."287Please respect copyright.PENANAg6nvKy6apD
"Aren't you one of them?"
Assuming from her appearance , perhaps , she was also...
She shook her head impatiently , fearing that Phaya would misunderstand her.
"Even though he rules over me , one thing he couldn't change is karma. At least you and i were bound together by karma , helping each other before. That is why i am able to see you now."287Please respect copyright.PENANANPS74CBqGx
"You and i were bound by karma?"
She nodded
"You saved me by Vassarat's plea."
To return the gratitude , she waited for the appropriate moment to meet him before she ran out of the opportunity. In this life ,she was determined to fulfill her nong wish , whatever it cost her , whether it might mean she would be punished by her mighty master.
"Time is running short. I will cut to the chase. Do you remember this old lady?"
Vanvisa closed her eyes , reopening them and whirling around herself for Phaya to see. Phaya's eyes widened slightly. This was... The granny that he met at the gas station? The picture of this granny approached Tarn and him suddenly reeled in.
Khun... Do you want to have your fortune read with me?
"You..."
She can shape shift? W.....What is this?......Is this her intention?
"It's me."
Vanvisa transformed back to her former self and said ith a solemn voice
"Whenever you perform good deeds. Please pray for us to me"
He was coming back. Hence , the time for Vanvisa to speak with Phaya had already been past due. She had to go back before he could feel the suspicion. It was unfortunate that their encounter was so fleeting. She let out a sigh , closing her eyes as she gave in. On the other hand , Phaya was standing in confusion. No sooner had he asked for more than he could feel the force sucking him away from her...
No he wanted to ask her to get out of this mystery! Wait! Don't go!
"....Don't go!"
Phaya shouted out loud , fervently startled as he sprang up in bed with drenching sweat all over his visage. The tall figure panted violently , lifted the hand to stroke his face and pondered over his recent dream. Noppharuj , Vassarat , Vanvisa , what was it exactly all about? Can people really have such a coherent dream like this?
This is real....This must be real , not just a dream...It really happened to him.
