Gaea rose out of the marriage of Love and Light,broad of bosom and the first of substance.
She was naturally born with child and from her bountiful womb sprang Ouranos,the place of many bright palaces seen when Night rides across the plains of primeval dark.
He is known as Sky,and like his other family members,a cruel and unpredictable God.

The first children of Earth and Heaven were giant monsters with a hundred hands and little else.
They enjoyed nothing better than to rip up great mounds of earth and pile them on top of one another until they nearly reached the clouds.
Soon Gaea was in great distress with all of this rough child's play,lasting for untold ages.In fact you can still see evidence of the damage all across the world if you look closely.
Their names were Earthquake, Hurricane and Volcano.
And Heaven regarded them with suspicion.
The Wheel Eyed Ones came next.
Hideous cannibals with a single huge eye ball in their foreheads and rows of dagger like fangs,they fought with their brothers and devoured any living thing they could find to satiate their hunger.
Soon they were known simply as the Cyclops.
This utter destruction and upheaval of the elements lasted for ages,long into the dawn of man.
Lastly,the Titans were born from the bowels of the earth,huge people-like God's male and female; whereas the earlier progeny were strictly savage males and monster like.
One day Ouranos was resting on his throne high upon a crag over looking the earth when a boulder thrown in play chanced to knock him down.
"That's the extent of it!" he raged."I'm locking up whoever is responsible for this nonsense."
His glance fell upon the Hundred Hands giants,laughing and hollering in their senseless merriment far below.
"Those are the worst among my children,"he said,"and in time they will rival me in strength and size.I cannot possibly defeat them if they choose to go against me."
So Father Heaven devised a plan to imprison them in a hidden place he found deep in the earth.
It was a black expanse to rival the Void from which his grandmother,Chaos,was first born.
It was called Tartarus.
