The Winter Estate.
The air around me was cold.
I stood in what seemed like a cemetery, surrounded by endless trees.
A slight fog had settled on the scenery before me.
It smelled like dirt, wood, and...
Ink?
I sensed a figure leaning over me from behind, its breath hitting my neck.
As much as I wanted to turn back, I couldn't.
My feet wouldn't move an inch, only my heart pounded and my breath quickened by the minute.
The figure walked in slow long strides and stood straight in front of me.
That smile.
That sickening smile.
The same smile I saw that night Bella died. The figure looked the same too, from the hoodie to the chipped off tooth, everything looked the same.
He slowly leaned into my ear and whispered in a rough voice,
"Wake up!"
I was shaking...
"wake up!"
I was afraid...
"wake up!"
Afraid of him...
"wake up!"
Why?
"get up William!"
My eyes snapped open as I woke in a cold-sweat. Raven sat with a worried expression beside me while her shaky hands held mine.
"it's been two weeks... Why?" her voice cracked.
It was a dream...
No,
A nightmare...
"I am fine," I spoke as I sat up and put an arm around my sister.
"You were shaking William! You were shaking and crying! I'm just..."
I let out a sigh,
This is getting worse...
The feeble sound of a knock resounded through the room. Raven immediately composed herself and turned toward the door.
I took a glance at the clock,
It was 3:01 am
I saw Raven slipping her hand under the pillow.
I did the same, slowly moving my hand around until I felt the touch of cold metal.
A Colt 234 revolver.
I and my sister bought two of these with our first salary, they have been with us ever since.
I held the gun in my hand, still under the pillow, "Yes?" I shouted.
A feeble voice shouted from the other side, "Will? Can I come in?"
It was anna.
I let out a sigh and retrieved my hand, leaving my revolver under the pillow.
"Yes, come in Anna."
The door opened and Anna walked in, hugging a pillow to her chest, her hair all messy.
I smiled involuntarily as she shyly climbed onto the bed and sat up between us.
She looked so cute and innocent...
"I can't sleep in my room..."
"Why?"
"I... feel like someone is watching me..."
I frowned,
"Did you see someone outside your window?"
"No... I just feel like someone is... watching me..."
She looked so terrified, she was slightly shaking while squeezing her pillow in her arms.
"Now now, it's alright. No one is watching you. Would you like to sleep here?" Raven asked, lifting Anna's chin to meet her teary eyes.
Anna nodded and slowly buried her head into my chest.
I felt my shirt dampen as she sobbed.
"Hey, It's ok. We are here. we are right here."
The sobbing continued.
Did she get that scared?
"Anna how about we go to get some pizza tomorrow?" Raven asked putting an arm around me, being careful not to crush Anna between us.
Anna nodded in response, "I want Garlic bread too." she spoke with a low voice between her sobs.
"We'll get garlic bread too." Raven giggled.

The Clove Club.
Just as I entered the restaurant, a strong scent of spices and bread hit me. The others were in a mixture I couldn't quite recognize.
Just one hit me a little more different than the rest...
"Good morning! What would you like to..." the cashier turned pale and froze.
Did he see a ghost?
"Good morning! I would like a—"
"One minute." Saying that the young boy practically ran into the staff only room.
"What happened?" Raven entered the restaurant. Anna was holding her hand while trailing behind her.
"I don't know." I shrugged.
Raven frowned.
After what seemed like a few minutes, an old bald man, a bit hefty, walked out of the room the young boy had run into.
"Are you William winter?" he questioned with a coarse voice.
"Yes. Is there a problem?"
Raven slowly picked Anna up and backed away a bit,
I guess she was getting those vibes too.
He clearly did not like our company...
"Sir we cannot let you eat here. Please leave before I call the cops."
What?
"There must some kind of misunderstanding. I just wanted to buy—"
"Sir I will only tell this one more time, leave before we call the police."
His voice remained disturbingly calm.
"I don't understand—"
"You are that guy who killed Bella Faith. We don't sell to killers. You don't even deserve to live!"
Did not expect that...
"MY BROTHER DID NOT KILL ANYONE YOU—"
I put a hand on my sister's arm before she could complete her sentence. She looked at me and immediately calmed down.
Even Anna seemed a bit shaken by her sudden outburst.
I looked around noticing we were the center of everyone's attention, a few even had their phones out getting the best shot they could.
"I am sorry for causing a scene."
Saying that I dragged my sisters out the door and into the parking lot.
"Why was that man so mad at Will?" Anna asked.
And my sister turned to her, "let's go home and order ice-cream, then we can have a movie night. Okay?"
Anna's nod seemed a bit unsure, but I guess she decided that moment was best forgotten, for the rest of the ride home she sang along with the radio and even did a tiny dance in the back seat which had me and Raven bursting out with laughter.

8:00 pm
The Winter Estate.
"You did not do it right?"
Anna asked tugging my shirt.
I looked down at her snuggling into my side.
"Do what?"
We were sitting in the living room watching 'Little Mermaid'.
Currently, the mermaid was singing underwater, which... I did not know could happen...
"Umm... Did you... Hurt Bella..."
She looked a bit afraid...
Raven sat next to me and Anna, now her full attention to us.
"No, I did not hurt Bella," I spoke with a low voice.
"Then why does everyone say you did it?"
I had no answer to that. Well, I did, but there was no nice way to put it...
Well someone got killed and they had to blame someone. That's just how the world works!
"Listen here Anna,"
Anna turned to Raven, still leaning on me.
"Sometimes, people get angry and need someone to vent it out on. And unfortunately, Will was chosen this time. But we both know our brother, right? We know he would never do something like that..."
Anna shook her head. "I know."
It was quiet for a few moments before,
suddenly Anna gasped, "This is my favorite part! Move aside."
She quickly jumped off the couch and stood in front of the TV, blocking our view.
Holding a fist near her mouth, she sang along with the little mermaid, her loud voice trying it's best to overpower the mermaid.
Raven linked her arm in mine and leaned on my shoulder.
"It's okay."
"I am fine."
"I know you are not. But it's okay. We will always be here..."
I hummed in response.
But my mind was stuck in the scene we had made at that restaurant.
That smell...
I knew I had smelled it before...
It was the same smell I had picked up on that night...
That strong scent of ink...
