It was dawn when I woke up.
I decided to rest a bit more… but… I felt someone tug at my shoulder…
And I turned my body around and saw… Skol?!
“GAH!!!” I screamed.
Skol pulled me and held me tight to his chest, “You excited?”
“Why?!” I asked. “Why would I not be excited?!”
Skol lifted my chin with his free hand and kissed me gently.
“I… love you Alora…” He smiled at me.
I could feel myself blushing hard.
Then I realised, “YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO SEE ME BEFORE THE WEDDING!”
He pulled himself back, “But I couldn’t help myself, you know?!”
I stared at him… what was I thinking?! Yelling at him?! I was literally yelling at my fiance on our wedding day.
“Um… sorry for yelling at you…” I apologised.
“It’s okay. And you're right, I shouldn’t look at you before the wedding.” Skol admitted and stroked my cheek.
His arm was clung around my waist, without even realising it, I put my hand on his cheek and kissed him!
It was a long kiss, a long moment that felt like forever and I did want it to last forever.
I pulled myself back slowly, and then I saw his expression.
He seemed surprised… but he was blushing.
“I-I-I… uh… got to…” He stammered and got out of my bed and opened the door and shut it behind him as he went out of the room.
I sighed, there was no way I was going to talk to him until the wedding.
I felt my feet touch smooth softness as I touched the carpet.
As I made my way across the room to the closet, I felt as if someone was watching me.
I started to get a weird feeling about opening the closet, like I would see something horrible.
And like ignoring the feeling because I was quite curious, I opened the closet and yes, I did see something horrible.
“AMBREE?!” I screamed.
I saw my friend kissing Tidwulf, with her hands on his cheeks, and Tidwulf’s arms wrapped around her.
Ambree removed her hands from Tidwulf’s cheeks and turned around.
“Darling, don’t stop!” Tidwulf begged Ambree.
“My name is Tala now.” She smiled.
Tidwulf pulled Tala back around to face him again, “Darling, please do it again…”
“Um…” Tala shifted her eyes towards me, “Tidwulf, you know Day- I mean Alora, is here…”
Tala turned around, “Anyways, what day is it?”
Tala walked towards me and cupped her hand to my ear, “Please tell me it is not the wedding day.”
“Why?” I asked.
“Because, I was already tailored for the wedding dress when you saw me being stuffed into that dress, and we were supposed to become um… werewolves… remember?” She explained.
“Why did you guys come back?”
“Well, I missed my best friend!” She hugged me.
“Ahem…” Tidwulf coughed.
Tala cringed, “Um…”
“Want me to say it for you darling?” Tidwulf asked.
Tidwulf grabbed her hand and put her hand on his cheek.
Tala sighed, “We also came here to get married.”
Her tone sounded mono.
“Yep!” Tidwulf said proudly and smiled.
“Well… I think Tala and I will be going into the gardens, ya know? Just catch up on stuff.” I explained.
I pulled her away from Tidwulf.
I finally got a good look at her, annnnnnnnd… she was a mess.
Her hair was full of sticks, specks of dirt and dust, leaves, and small bits of rocks.
It was so frizzy, and her clothes were more torn and ripped and dirty than usual.
Oh crap, what was she doing in the woods to end up like this.
And her skin was scraped up badly and her legs looked like they were in mud and the mud was dried up.
Wow, she definitely looked like a hot mess.
“OKAY!” I yelled. “We need to clean you up!”
“Why?” She asked. “Is something wrong with me?!”
“Um… look at yourself in the mirror.” I said tugged her along to a mirror hung on my bedroom wall.
“GAH!!!” She screamed. “What the heck?! I look like a total mess!!!”
I laughed a bit, her reaction was kinda priceless.
She growled at me, “It’s nothing to laugh at!!! Look at me!!! I’m a hot mess!!! And Tidwulf saw me like this!!!”
I laughed again, “Your secret admirer likes you anyways.”
She rolled her eyes, “Whatever.”
“Let’s get you fixed.” I chuckled.
I looked in my closet and found some pants and a white shirt.
“Good enough.” I thought.
I looked around and saw my suitcase.
I put the clothes on my bed and went to open my suitcase and opened it to get some conditioner and shampoo and body wash.
At least the werewolves let us use bathroom products to clean ourselves up.
“Sit down.” I told Tala and she sat down on the ground.
I didn’t care if she was getting dirt on the carpet, I mean, the only person who would care would be my use to be master.
I began to gently take out the small pieces of rocks, then I took out the sticks, then the leaves.
It took a while because she had very thick hair, but I did it.
Now I had to brush it.
I went across the room and grabbed a brush off the dresser and went to brush Tala’s nasty hair.
Her hair had snarls and tangles even!!!
As I brushed her hair, she begged me to stop because it hurt but I couldn’t stop because if she wanted to look presentable for Tidwulf, she would have to let me brush.
“Beauty is a pain, girl.” I said.
She rolled her eyes when I said it. “I know but it really hurts.”
“Really? Then how come Tidwulf, the guy you so passionately kissed in front of my eyes, didn’t care you were dirty but you were so embarrassed you decided to let me comb your hair.”
She stared at the floor, desperately trying to prove some sort of point as I brushed her hair.
I was almost done brushing through it when someone knocked on the door.
“Who is it?” I called.
“The tailor.” The voice responded. “You and Tala’s wedding dresses are here.”
Tala groaned. “Just shove it under the door crack for crying out loud.”
“Oh um… they’re a little… um… too poofy to be shoved under the door.”
“Just come in.” I called.
The tailor opened the door, carrying two huge poofy white wedding dresses.
“Oh… crap…” Tala had wide eyes.
She always had a fear of wearing dresses.
She really hated them with all her heart.
She began to hiss at them and backed away.
“You might wanna leave…” I warned him.
I remember last time Tala had to wear a dress, she tore and ripped at it and was rowdy the whole time she had to wear it.
The tailor left the room immediately.
“Calm down, you only have to wear it for a little bit.” I tried to soothe the child.
We gave Tala the nickname the child because well… she acts like an absolute child like Tidwulf.
“I… HATE… DRESSES…” She growled and gave me her psychopathic eyes.
“Umm…” I darted my eyes all around my bedroom, trying to think of a way to get Tala to get in a dress.
Ah-hah!!! “Um… wouldn’t Tidwulf think you are hot in that dress?”
Tala’s face softened a little and she thought for a moment. “Maybe…”
I raised an eyebrow. “Huh? Huh? HUHHHHH?”
I smiled mischievously.
Tala rolled her eyes, “Fine.”
My smile grew.
“Better take a shower first though.” She said, darting into the bathroom with the dress.
I flopped onto my bed and closed my eyes to rest for a moment.
It must have been a long moment because I dozed off for a bit.
When I woke up from my doze, I saw Tala all dressed.
I immediately sat up, “Wow! That’s the first time I've seen you not trying to destroy a dress.”
She rolled her eyes again, “Yeah yeah yeah, whatever.”
“How long have I been asleep for?” I asked.
“A few hours.” She responded.
“What?!” I asked.
“Yeah, it takes a few hours to get all the way stuffed in these dresses,'' she explained.”
My eyes widened, “Wow um…”
“Come on, let’s get you dressed.” Tala grabbed the dress in one hand and grabbed my wrist in the other.
She started to drag me across the room to the bathroom, the dress or I must have been heavy, most likely the dress, because it took five minutes to just get across.
When we finally got there, she shoved me in there with the giant poofy dress and locked the door.
“HEY!” I yelled. “Why did you do that?!”
“Because, I’m running away again!” She said.
“But… why?!” I asked.
“Because, I love Tidwulf but seriously, I don’t want to become a werewolf.”
“You don’t have to!” I begged. “You can stay, you don’t have to become a werewolf!” I said.
“... Fine… I guess… I’ll stay…”
“Great!” I was so relieved. “Now, can you unlock the door please?”
“I will when you're done getting dressed.” Tala said.
