SCENE 6
Students were gathered in a half circle sitting in chairs near Mr. Bartholomew in the stage room as Craig ran up and sat in a chair next to Jerald P’s on the left side. The students murmured while Mr. Bartholomew was breathing frantically and sweat covered his forehead. “So, what did I miss?” Craig asked casually. Jerald P was blatantly annoyed with Craig’s lack of concern or care. “You mean besides breakfast? You haven’t really missed much of anything except for everyone clearly freaking out over Harold’s disappearance!” Jerald P yelled.
“Geez, dude. Chill out.”
“Don’t tell me to chill out. I mean, do you even care that Harold’s disappeared suddenly?”
“Well…” Before Craig could finish, Mr. Bartholomew made an announcement. “Listen up, students! As you have all probably figured out, Harold has gone missing as of last night. Today, we’re going to search the entire campgrounds until we find out where Harold is. Does everyone understand?” The students all answered yes in unison. “All right, you students are dismissed to go find Harold. Let’s move!” John pulled his phone out of his pocket and played a song that seemed to fit along with what was going on. The singer, in a rock voice, sang:
“Look, listen to my voice. If you're making the choice tell me all the girls and the boys either scream or rejoice, let's make that noise. Either move or we will all be destroyed. *normal voice singing* Move and show me what you can do when you step into the circle and shake like we do. Move when you just can't take it and move if you just feel like breaking it. Can you hear me? Stop, look, listen to my voice, it was never my choice to feel all alone. This is my home. Back up, you don't know if you've never been here, you've never been to the place inside, I face my fears, it takes everything I am. Move and show me what you can do when you step into the circle and shake like we do. Move when you just can't take it and move if you just feel like breaking it. Move and show me what you can do when you step into the circle and shake like we do. Move when you just can't take it and move if you just feel like breaking it. If you come near me, stop, look, listen to my voice, if you're making the choice tell all the girls and the boys either scream or rejoice, let's make that noise Either move or we will all be destroyed. Back up and let go if you've never been here, you've never been to the place inside, I face my fears, it takes everything I am. Move and show me what you can do when you step into the circle and shake like we do. Move when you just can't take it and move if you just feel like breaking it. Move and show me what you can do when you step into the circle and shake like we do. Move when you just can't take it and move if you just feel like breaking it. I come crashing to the floor and I know there must be more like me. I've seen this all before, I can't carry this anymore, break free. Breath, and leave until the storm is over. 'Cause underneath, there's a diamond passing over. So breath, let's leave until the storm is over, because I want to take you away. Move and show me what you can do when you step into the circle and shake like we do. Move when you just can't take it and move if you just feel like breaking it. Move and show me what you can do when you step into the circle and shake like we do. Move when you just can't take it and move if you just feel like breaking it.”

The students stood from their chairs and scattered throughout the building in hopes of finding Harold. There were special rooms though that couldn’t be accessed unless you had the right keys, and only Mr. Bartholomew had those keys. Jerald P headed to the kitchen and searched in the cabinets, fridge, freezer, and pantry and found nothing but food and utensils. Zachary checked the restroom stalls, but had no luck. Stacy and Walter looked briefly in the students’ room without going through stuff as well as the office rooms, but Harold was nowhere to be seen. Mr. Bartholomew and Karry looked in various places in the stage room, but no sign of Harold anywhere. The Jesus Jammers speed through the corridors and searched in mechanical rooms, extra storage rooms, and even the free-time room, but nothing in those locations either. Craig, however, decided it was best if he went into his room and practiced singing while everyone else did the hard work looking for Harold. He started vocalizing quietly so that only he could hear himself as students roamed about the building, no one seeing anything unusual or spotting any signs of Harold being anywhere. And Craig didn’t have long before everyone noticed that he went off to start practicing more of his singing. All the students, except for Craig of course, ran back into the stage room and stood before Mr. Bartholomew. “Well, has anyone found Harold yet? I can’t say I have. Jerald P?” Mr. Bartholomew asked.
“No luck. I checked everywhere in the kitchen, quite literally.” Jerald P replied.
“Zachary?”
“Nothing. I checked every stall in the bathroom.”
“Stacy? Walter?”
“We checked by the cabin rooms, but nothing.” Stacy commented.
“We even checked in the office rooms just in case, but he wasn’t in there either.” Walter added.
“Jerald H? Have you and your friends had any more luck than the rest of us?”
“We’re really sorry, but I can’t say we have.” Mr. Bartholomew then let out a cry. “Wait a minute. Where is Craig?” The only person who knew exactly where Craig was, was Jerald P. “I think I have an idea of where he’s at.” He said as he ran to his room to find Craig sitting on his bed vocalizing. Craig stopped and looked over at Jerald P. “Oh, hey! I’ve been wondering where you were at.” Craig sounded like he enjoyed making Jerald P made by now. “How long have you been in here?! Everyone has been running around like crazy searching for Harold and you’ve just been sitting in here, practicing your singing!” Jerald P roared. All Craig did in response was shrugged his shoulders and said, “Maybe Harold is just having too much fun exploring outside the camp.”
“And if he is exploring outside the camp, he may be dead! At least act like you care and come back out with the rest of us.” Jerald P left the room with Craig following close behind. Mr. Bartholomew had a strongly relieved look sculpted on his face when the two arrived in the stage room together. Mr. Bartholomew continued speaking, “Oh, thank goodness! We do not need another missing student here at this camp!” He took a moment to breathe. “Now, everyone we’ve been searching for Harold for quite some time, but still with no luck. But let’s not worry, I am confident that we will find Harold… alive. For now, we mustn’t fall behind on our camp schedule, so let’s continue with producing our Musicale.” With that, everyone went back to doing what they normally did.
