He’s right. Just casually reading the content is enough for him to get a passing score. Imagine if he worked harder, wouldn’t he become successful? I’m both proud and jealous of him.

we leave the apartment after we changed our clothes. Luckily, it was the final exams week. We only had to take the exam, then leave home. Meaning, that we could have more time to review for other exams and even part time job. Oh, and get to know this Jack, to find whether he’s manipulating Spencer or not.
I hoped we won’t live with that alcoholic for long.
After I finished the math exam , which was super easy btw, I met my best friend, Hana. She was also my rival in academics.
”so how did you answer the question about factoring?” She asked.
”I used factoring by two squares”
”Seriously!! Ugh! No wonder it didn’t work with grouping!! Oh well, it’s over already”
we chatted a bit, while Spencer was talking with his friends. Believe it or not, he’s friends with the popular group in our school. It’s a mystery for me how he became friends with them, but I guess idiots always hang with their own kind. I found it troublesome to call out to him since it might direct their sight to me, so I just left the school on my own. Hana already left in her family’s car (that lucky rich girl). I made my way to my part time job directly, and it didn’t take long for my phone to ring.
”Rae!! Where the hell did you go?!!”
Of course it was Spencer. My contacts are only him and Hana, oh, and co-worker Mina from my part-time job.
”you were having good time with your friends, so I didn’t want to interrupt. I’m on my way to Island Spice. Make sure you reach King Steel on time, got it?” I said with monotone voice. [Island Spice] is a restaurant I’m working at as a server, while [King Steel] is a mechanic store Spencer works at.
“You just have to ruin my day with your orders, huh? Btw, how was your exam?”
”it was okay. What about yours?”
”it was easier than I thought actually”
he really makes me angry. Although it was easy for me too, but I had study so hard since the beginning of the year. Yet he only reads the lessons casually every weekend, and easily gets passing grades no matter how difficult the lesson is, in ALL subjects. Saying that I’m jealous is an understatement.
”thanks for reviewing with me yesterday. Sorry if I made things difficult for us”
I thought it was strange for him to ask about exams. So that’s what he wanted to say from the beginning. I couldn’t help but smile at that. It’s quiet rare for my careless cousin to appreciate me.
Spencer continued ”Also, about Jack, I know he seem to be lazy to you, but once you get to know him, you’ll change your mind. So, can you give him a chance?”
Although I keep calling Spencer an idiot, he does have his serious moments. He can say some cool stuff. Too bad his serious moments are rare.
”you’re right, I shouldn’t judge people quickly. As long as you stop gambling, I promise I’ll be nice to him”
”...”
”Spence?”
”Hell no”

By the time the call ended, I was in front of [Island Spice]. I was tired thanks to stress and sleep deprivation but work is work. I sighed as I entered the restaurant.
